DESCRIPTION

Hello, and welcome to the latest installment in my efforts to clean up the streets and courtyards of Cyrodiil's cities. Norbert Lelles and Varel Morvayn have tracked down the makers of some garments left as gifts for the Countess of Anvil, and now offer them for sale in their stores.

I previously encountered Hentai's Dark Rose clothing as zero-weight heavy armour in another mod. If you can spot the contradictions in the preceding sentence, you'll know why I went back to the original source.

Also, isn't it a bit odd that so many items of clothing are made as armour?

CONTENTS

The meshes and textures from Hentai's original mod are included, as well as the following esps:

1 - DarkRoseResource: new (aa) IDs are made for each of the three armour items. No other change is made, and no cell or worldspace is affected.

2 - DarkRoseAnvil: The armour items are renamed slightly, for clarity, and the value of the two light armour outfits is reduced from 6000 to 4000 and 4500. Clothing versions are made, at values of 400, 500 and 600, and weight of 4, 5 and 7 respectively. Respawning vendor chests are made and placed at Morvayn's Peacemaker's (armour) and Lelle's Quality Mercandise (clothing). Playable immediately.

A copy of Hentai's description for the original mod is included for reference purposes.

Tools used: Construction Set, File Explorer, Notepad.

INSTALLATION

1 - Extract to a temporary location
2 - Copy the meshes and textures to your Oblivion\Data folder
3 - Copy the esp of your choice to use as desired
4 - Tick the esp in Oblivion Launcher to use in game

UNINSTALL

1 - Untick whichever esp you are using
2 - Delete the esp, and the following files and folders:

CONFLICTS/ISSUES

This mod was used alongside around 50 other mods. The vendor chests are pushed far enough down and away that they are unlikely to overlap with similar chests placed by other mods you might be using.

Known Issues: None reported. Given the size and bulk of the outfits, some difficulty or clipping might be expected when moving about in tight passages and confined spaces.

Playtest Report: The three clothing outfits were worn on a ZKEC Kaihen body, with Extra Wide lower body, and no problems were encountered. Although my Nordic Huntress would have preferred there to be a changing room in Lelles Quality Mercandise.

Game Balance: Given the number of slots these items take up, there aren't too many worthwhile options for enchantment. Perhaps some of the rare and powerful enchantments, like Vitality or Perfection, or a custom 50+% Shield? I have elected to forgo enchanting Dark Rose armour and clothing for the time being. Feel free to add your own enchanted versions.

My laptop doesn't like screenshots, so feel free to take pics of your characters using this mod. Upload them to this mod's webpage, and I'll verify the images as soon as possible.

IN CLOSING

This mod was created using the latest version of the Construction Set, and playtested with The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Although Shivering Isles and Knights Of The Nine were installed at the time, they are not necessary for use of this mod. Similarly, while OBSE was installed it was not used during play. Nor was any other utility installed or used.

At first level, and after only 7 hours of play, my playtest guinea pig character had amassed over 30,000 septims from selling clothing and armour found in mod-placed containers all over the Imperial City. Which is how she was able to afford these clothes, and that holiday in Arendelle.

I have elected for the time being to not dynamically add these clothes to any NPCs. If at some point someone was to merge this mod with Seraphim Armour As Clothing, along with perhaps a few other similar mods, and work up an appropriate script quest, we might find ourselves gaming on Planet Hentai.
