DESCRIPTION

Hello, and welcome to MCSneaky Redux, a modification of the original version by Hamsti.

This mod includes the meshes and textures from the original MCSneaky, except for the optional material.

The following esps are included:

1 - MCSneakyResource: New ids (starting with aaa) are made for each of the six clothing items. No cell or worldspace is affected. The quest script adding the clothing items to the player's inventory is not used. Consider this a modders resource.
2 - MCSneakyVendors: A respawning vendor chest, with one of each item of clothing, is added to The Copious Coinpurse and A Warlock's Luck. The clothing is adjusted according to my Couture Collection Formula, and renamed slightly. No other cell is affected. Playable immediately.
3 - MCSneakyEnchantments: A second respawning vendor chest is added to A Warlock's Luck, containing enchanted versions of each clothing item except for the full outfit. Each enchantment is at Grand strength. Each of the five pieces comes in three variations, a Shield effect and two Fortify effects. The fortify enchantments used are Acrobatics, Athletics, Marksman, Security, Sneak, Agility, Endurance, Luck, Speed and Strength. Also playable immediately.

The original ReadMe files are included for reference purposes, as is a copy of the Couture Collection Formula.

CONFLICTS/ISSUES

From the original ReadMe: You might get minor clipping in some poses. It's tested with woman's move (slow), but during sneak mode there is major clipping at the skirt.

None otherwise known. The vendor chests are pushed far enough down and away that they are unlikely to overlap with any chests placed by any other mods you may be using.

Game Balance: If grand-strength enchantments seem a bit much at low level, bear in mind that you probably can't afford them yet. Unless your career as a night-skulking light-fingered catburglar is very successful indeed, that is. In which case, The Gray Fox has a serious rival for his notoriety.

This mod was created using the latest version of the Construction Set, and playtested with The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. Although Shivering Isles and Knights Of The Nine were installed at the time, they are not necessary for use of this mod. Similarly, while OBSE was installed it was not used during play. Nor was any other utility, e.g. Wrye Bash, installed or used.

My laptop doesn't like screenshots, so feel free to take pics of your characters using this mod. Upload them to this mod's webpage, and I'll verify the images as soon as possible. Brag-worthy pics of stealthy types in off-limits places are appropriate to ths mod (if you solemnly swear that you are up to no good, I won't notify the Imperial Watch).

IN CLOSING

I made this mod because I find it somewhat immersion-breaking that clothing of such an obviously nefarious nature would be added to the player's inventory at the start of play, and not stripped from the character during their initial prison stay. Also, there is the possibility that these items might be stocked by the in-house trader in an updated version of my Simple Talos Plaza Home mod at some point in the foreseeable future (the ability to merge loaded plugins into a new file is a wonderful thing). I have elected to forgo dynamically adding this clothing to nefarious NPCs, as the existing Thieves Armour is distinctive enough already. So you get to be the sole wearer of these exclusive garments.

Thank you for reading and downloading. Enjoy this mod, and happy gaming.
