Glad to see that they finally made a proper fix. It was using the hacky way to fix before and therefore not applicable to all case like when the player made a spell or an enchantment that drain fatigue rapidly causing the said crash.
Absolutely crazy i never posted any comment but felt that i needed to say thank you, was crashing always in SI everywhere and i mean EVERYWHERE, no fast travel, no mods, nothing worked then i stamble on to this by miracle and boom, fixed. thank you man, i never see this bug in any wiki and i thought i was completely lost, saved my 400 hours save ;_;
Seeing as a mod exists to fix it clearly it's happened to enough people to need a fix made. Pretty sure you can find info on it at the very least on UESP. Since they're very thorough about that type of info amoung many other tidbits.
After testing this with a damage fatigue spell on shambles, I could indeed reproduce a crash when they got knocked down and tried to get back up. This mod fixed the crash issue and allowed the shambles to get back up normally.
The vanilla SI just set their fatigue to a very high value to prevent knockdown by lack of fatigue.
UOP just set them back to the normal value which make it possible to knockdown via damage fatigue spell again. So yes, SI UOP does not has a fix for this bug.
In my case, it's Duke Patricks' Melee Combat NO RECOIL forcing a knockdown so the game will load that problematic animation.
