Hey, TD UNIQUE ANVIL website seems to be dead
    http://tes-diesel.ru/oblivion/12552/

I just did the other option, ill edit again if it's the cause of my game failing.

As i'm doing this, i must say, what the hell bethesda, we get crappy space games but they refuse to remaster this masterpiece it's so annoying, like what the hell man.

Hey there and thanks for the heads up. Yep it's gone for me as well.
I just did the other option, ill edit again if it's the cause of my game failing
I would hope a simple retexture isn't the cause of your game failing ...just make sure not to install "anvilstreetlamp" as per instructions.
Yep...don't hold your breath for Beth to remaster this one. I was hoping at one point too!

The sky in the enb is a bit too bright and when I look at the ground the game gets extremely dark and I only see the outline of things. I'm new to enb so thank you

Yep, & I've never used enb with bevi's build! Never cared for the performance hit.
First, I assume you did disable the enb to verify that it indeed was the culprit?
Second, reading up on the enb modpage (post section) might shed some light on how to tweak the various inis involved.

Curious why the "NAO natural and atmospheric oblivion" mod was removed from the list?

      Hi-
Bevi decided to remove it in favor of his own vanilla + weathers. Link is on the description page

At a quick glance I can't see any mods for altering the water - are they built into one of the suggested mods?

Lastly - can ORC be installed at any stage or is it something that should ideally be installed last?

      Hi-
ORC is the water! (among other things) and good looking water at that. Nice shaders for water indeed
I guess in theory it can be installed anywhere...but check conflicts in Wrye or MO2 to make sure

Hello, followed your instructions.  I found the lighting far to bright so I copied the original ENB files in to fix that.  I notice some graininess with the textures but it does look good.  I am getting the yellow boxy halos suggesting missing textures occurring in dungeons, especially near chests.

      That's a missing mesh.

Hiya, dumb question but hoping I can get a response with a direction to move towards in fixing my game not wanting to load.

Basically, I installed almost every mod here, not all of them, some aren't available and others I didn't really want. Think 99% of them. Now, at the end of the red brick road the game has decided to just not work. Crashes on startup, no red mods, all masters seem to be in place (or so wyre bash tells me), and nothing is missing from the list or recommended items. Ran LOOT for load order, ran the Bashed Patch and that seems to be working splendidly as well. As such, is there a way for me to find out why the game is crashing on startup? Maybe a log for a possible error code? Or is the fix someting simpler than that:? Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Found a posible error. I installed Darnified but changes I made as were recommended did not seem to go through and the game has seemingly been crashing due to the font errors (even if I didn't change my font, it still happens). if I find anything else out Ill post more.

Edit 2x: Final edit for someone who might have my same issue. The fix for my issue was to completely scrap the oblivion INI, and then rerun the game. itll generate an INI and the fonts wont work. However after that just turn the game off and apply the correct changes to your INI and it'll run smoothly afterwards.

Sounds like you got it set up right...although I can't see it either :P Another thing that can cause crashes at the menu would be menu related mods...such as ORC that replaces the vanilla shaders if you installed ORC at all or an invalid installation.
You can get them back to vanilla state here if needed.
One more factor is heap. If you are not using ORC (or Oblivion Stutter Remover) the game can crash due to not enough starting memory.

Edit: don't know what you installed for the HUD-menu section but check it for sure since crashes at the menu can be caused in this way

Thanks for the quick response. I went ahead and got messagelogger in the hopes to give ya'll a better write up of the issue and so far I'm working on one that's caused by darnified. Fingers crossed that was it.

Okay here's a good follow up. Got message logger like I stated, and it seems to be tied to DarnifiedUI and its Bain Installer. However I can't seem to understand how to fix it as the error seems to contradct the changes I made to the INI already. Here's the log for clarity.

Nice work! Yep the menu related things act like a missing master indeed. The fonts are something that just about everyone here has trouble with through the years...forgetting to put them in or whatever!
Yes...and deleting/rebuilding the oblivion.ini is useful at times, however I use BethINI, mainly to organize my ini's so as to read them much more easily. I can find things better that way
      Good job!
Edit: you might consider setting your oblivion.ini to "read only" when finished tweaking,  so nothing can write to it if using wrye bash

There seems to be a bug with how underwater visibility works, it's clear outdoors while inside dungeons there's obviously a problem. Here are some screenshots to understand what I mean.

      Hey there-
First it would be helpful to know your setup. Did you follow this list and are you using enb and ORC? (and bevi's ini's as well)
If so..please verify that you have the correct version of ORC (for the guide it is v1922) and that "bUseWaterDisplacement=0" is in oblivion.ini if using enb. It helps to disable enb...test...then ORC...to narrow down what is causing the issue. Once you do, you can adjust if needed.

I don't use enb with bevi's list but I seem to remember issues in the past with buggy underwater and the many, many versions of OR/C. Unfortunately Nexus has taken our forum search with the forum upgrades (at least as far as I can tell) or it would be easy to search these forums and see.
Feel free to check tesreloaded on discord if it turns out to be ORC related as there is much more info there I am sure.
      Good luck!

Hey wellden, thank you so much for the help here on the bevilex mod list guide post section, I really do appreciate the help. Yes I did follow bevilex's ENB and ORC section, I got everything all setup and double checked to see if I got everything right. I came to the conclusion that it was either ENB or ORC that was causing the underwater visibility issue particularly inside dungeons, so I decided to just opt out of the ENB and ORC section of the mod list and just stick with the Performance and Stability part instead.

Ah good, you narrowed it down...nice job, and you are welcome for sure!

Hate to see you miss out on the added visuals from that setup though. Also be advised that ORC has a heap replacer that is now used in this guide, so you would need to install Oblivion Stutter Remover (v4.1.37), to offset the large texture additions and prevent possible crashing for you.
If using Oblivion Display Tweaks (also in this guide), you need to disable critical hooks in OSR's "main" section of ini ( bHookCriticalSections = 0, bHookLightCriticalSections = 0, bReplaceGetTickCount = 0) and set "bReplaceHeap=1". Then scroll down and under "heap" set algorithm to 6 and heapsize to 512 - 768 (test to see) OSR also has a FPS manager...just look in the "main" section at the top of the ini.

The stutter functions of OSR are all but broken on win 10 & 11 now for most, but the heap replacer still works at least the last I used it. I use ORC now for heap myself, just no enb.
      Best of luck!

Been a couple years since I used Bevilex's list and decided to give it a go once again! Everything has worked flawlessly, stable, with no issues other than a singlular one:
Lighting on grass/vegetation meshes around and near other lamp posts on roads will flicker when my camera is angled in such a way. Its rather noticeable. Also this occurs specifically with the white buds on wild flowers when under canopy of tree's even with sunlight.
If anyone knows why this could be occurring please let me know! I have tried messing with and toggling virtually every setting I could find related to similar issues.
The only changes I have made directly to what Bevilex's ENB base settings were copying Cyrodil ENB's base INI's to ensure my game was a little more fantastical looking. Nothing was overridden, I changed all INI's manually myself.

And that could be enough to cause the flicker you are seeing. I am not an enb authority for Oblivion since I don't use one with bevi's build...and he would definitely be the one to ask here. (if he comes by he will answer)
I unfortunately can't answer this, especially since you aren't using bevi's intended enb setup (which he just updated late last year). Try this if you haven't...disable the enb and see if the problem persists.
It actually could be something with the lamp post mod since you say it is around posts. Try reading through posts and see (unfortunately Nexus forum overhaul took our forum search capabilites for now or I would've looked)

Thank you for your reply and for your time! I have tried enabling and disabling ENB many times over and it just seems to affect some of the grass meshes. I was reading in the grass mod forums that apparently this is a common issue when using graphical enhancements like ENB and mods that affect grass density/size. Its definitely something I could live with and is rarely affecting immersion in a negative way. But I will look through the Lamps forums to see if I can find anything in the meantime! Ill pop back over here if I find a solution :D

Edit: Apparently the reason this can occur is a limitation within Oblivion's engine.

That's sounds just about right, as many of these older games suffer from light source issues. Fallout 3 is a great example.
I've learned to live with a few imperfections here and there & had fully intended to mention the limitations but forgot! ... Thanks for reporting back! Take a kudo for taking the time. Whoops, I thought I remembered you... Kudos already given... Well done!

Hey Wellden (since you seem to be answering questions lol) I gotta ask. Is Wrye Bash still necessary with Vortex out? I mainly ask since every time I think "Oh boy, I'm gonna do an Oblivion playthrough!" I run into the headache that is bashed patches, LOOT orders, broken/out of date mods (it is Oblivion, not Skyrim so that's understandable), etc and I end up giving up before I can even leave the Imperial Sewers.

LOL Yep been here a while (thanks for making me feel old since I am lol) Wrye Bash is needed for Oblivion in any case IMO. Why...you might ask? For the bashed patch! If you know how to make your own conflict resolution patches better than Wrye...then no, it might not be needed. And the same goes for LOOT. If you know how to check your load order in xEdit and place accordingly (such as using the method) then no...you don't need LOOT. So that "headache" as you call it (lol) can be fixed with more headaches

Hello. Many thanks for the guide.

I need help for the ENB & Oblivion Reloaded part of the guide. I have installed everything so when i launch it the game is at max settings unplayable to 10 - 16 fps and i dont know how to calibrate the settings to estabilizing the fps, what settings max - min in Crtl+C and Shift+Enter options

    My pc specs:
                        Ryzen5 5500
                       16gb RAM DDR4
                        AMD RX 550 4GB

Thank you very much for help and awesome guide.

      Thanks for the kind words!
I am not the "enb" authority around here, but first make sure you downloaded the correct versions. Enbseries v181 and ORC v1922. Second main file. (there are 4) Easy to get mixed up and simply download the first main file of mods.
Then simply use bevi's ini's to overwrite the instructed files. You can edit the ini's directly yourself without being ingame too. data\obse\plugins for ORC and usually in enbseries.ini in the root folder. Looks like bevi has the limiter off:
      [LIMITER]WaitBusyRenderer=falseEnableFPSLimit=falseFPSLimit=59.0

I don't use enb in Oblivion with this guide, so maybe bevi will stop by and help us out a little more!

Yes, everything is ok. The game looks out of focus and unplayable, so i don´t know exactly what settings impact these graphics options. The game even this issues looks crazy, Oblivion rocks hard nowadays.

Did you use wrye bash? You can uninstall ORC (enb is done manually) and see if it is fine then. Did you test before adding enb/ORC?
Be careful uninstalling ORC and take a look at the structure of the archive so you know where all the files are going. It's possible to screw up your shaders uninstalling them because of the way ORC installs, but you can find the vanilla shaders here to replace them back to vanilla state.

Hope you get it sorted out! It's good to test well after each section since the guide isn't too big. This way you know exactly when something happens. Remember, you can adjust the ini settings from notepad++, or delete and reinstall it!  Bevi's settings should be good to go right from the download. He's done enb/OR for years now ;)

Hi there. Sorry i couldn´t asnwer early.
Thanks for the files, i´ll go for reinstalling again cause there were conflicts everywhere, i will skip the ENB section, the game before the section look great and stable. This time i will install OOO + Maskar´s overhaul, just my question, those mods need to be installed first, before textures packs and after stability mod, obse plugins, fixes and patches?

      Thanks for help, again.

Sounds good & glad to help if I can.
I usually create an "Overhauls" marker in Wrye Bash after all the UOP and textures for OOO & Maskars. LOOT will place Maskars at the bottom of your load order(plugins) as it should be. Maskars is mostly ini driven, so there are quite a few ini's.
Rebuild your bashed patch before testing & test often & you'll be fine!
