There needs to be a Frostcrag Revisited Redux Revamped mod. Both yours and Gruffys have some good and bad elements to them, taking both the good parts from both would create probrably the best FS mod. Like, the main hall in your mod is fantastic with all the workstations and magic things make it the best one out of the others, but the private quarters use textures that don't look they fit. Gruffys has a good sleeping area but everywhere else is nonsense.

After I installed this mod, the game freezes on loading screen and freezes the whole computer, even task manager or crl-alt-del doesn't work, only windows reload. After that I had to delete all Oblivion files and reinstall it a new. Maybe its not compatible with the DLCFrostcrag - Unofficial Patch?

I'm having the same issue as you are... Sad! Frostcrag is my favorite home.

Did you know this mod deletes the main esp file if removed? You have a bug where I cannot buy Magetallow candles, so i went to remove the mod and just like that my game wont boot. Just so you know you have broken my save. Thanks for that

Update: I had to reinstall the mod to gain the esp file back. I then had to move the file back up into my load order. Reloaded the game and had to use console commands to progress the mission and continue. I have since found the Candles in the display cabinet. You will need to fix the bug where the mission doesn't complete after buying what we need

Is there a way to edit the quest script to remove the Mages Guild requirements? It conflicts with the unofficial patch for Frostcrag with all the script changes. The mod is great otherwise.

    >looks at Bedroom 1 image
I would think the Bedroom is the last place most people would want to place a statue of Vaermina but sleep is for the weak and it means less time to research magic

For some strange reason, when I have this mod activated, my game won't load past the first logo movie when the game starts up. The Bethesda Softworks logo video appears and promptly freezes and I have to restart my machine.

It has got to be either a conflict with another mod or something completely unrelated.

Crashes on/before titles usually implies a mod is missing a master-file or dependency.
Check on your manager and make sure the only dependency this mod has (dlc) isn't altered by something else.

This mod isn't compatible with Unofficial Frostcrag Patch but there are still some bugfixes from it that this mod leaves out, such as:

DLCFrostcragAtronachStorm is missing the AbAtronachStormEffect which causes them to lose the lighting effect and their paralysis immunity.
Storm Atronach Familiar no longer produce a blood spray or blood decals when struck
DLCFrostcragAtronachFlame is missing AbAtronachFlameEffect which causes them to lose the flame effects.
Flame Atronach Familiar now has an aware sound
Aurelinwae will no longer say that Calindil runs a nice place at the Mystic Emporium while she is there
Aurelinwae will no longer be essential after all upgrades have been purchased.
Lennasaan's Touch has been converted to a power with the absorb/reflect disabled so that the blessing from the grave won't get wasted if the player has any absorb/reflect effects. This is in line with changes made to similar spells in the UOP.
The atronach altar will now remove the correct amount of fire, frost or void salts from the player when an atronach is summoned; also fixed a script error (extra endif)
Fixed a script error on the Frostcrag Spire Memoirs (also had an extra endif)
Corrected Aurelinwae's (Mystic Emporium) inventory never resetting which eventually caused long delays bartering with her and bulked the savegame

I found these using xEdit and the changelog, there are more than this but I stopped looking once I found 10 bugs. This comment is directed at the author, so don't take this as a reason not to install the mod.

This was never built with the unofficial patch in mind or any other mod for that matter other than the original one that I worked upon. If I had the time and motivation, I would probably make a new version and keep some of those in mind but for now, I don't plan on doing anything else with this mod in the foreseeable future.

is not too much trouble to incorporate the fixes into it ourselves, i did it over a couple of hours messing around in xedit, also removed all traces of the oblivion gate crap from this mod
also fixed the floating statue in the bedroom, the misaligned fish tank bubbles (they would stop well below the waters surface and pop there) and the not lore friendly alyeid statues on the atronach alters

      *edit*
btw thank you for this mod i love it

If someone could provide an updated version, perhaps it could be uploaded here to this page? Just a suggestion! Thanks for taking the time to read this ~

I am having problems getting started with this mod.

The instructions say "...and go to Bruma where you should automatically receive the key and the deed."

This is not working for me. Where in Bruma is the trigger?

EDIT: I can confirm what ComicalMayhem says below. You need to go to Bruma, go to the Mages Guild, (join if necessary), and finish the recommendation quest from Jeanne Frasoric. When you step outside of the guildhouse, you will get the key and deed.

For some reason there's a HUGE lag spike if you walk in a certain spot near the back of the desk to the east of the room. I don't know why. Good mod though

Not just in that spot, my game has a high chance of freezing if I'm near the altar section of the room. So that's a problem. I think there might be too many objects?

I noticed this as well but unfortunately I haven't been able to properly investigate the cause during development, and since my computer back then was weak then I figured it must be that. I don't think it's the object count but rather a particular mesh, if you happen to have any knowledge with the CK then you could delete one object at a time from the desk area until you determine the cause. The ship model is comprised of multiple separate meshes placed together but that isn't the problem, I had a different ship there before release and the same thing happened.

This is a super nice mod, though I found that I couldn't bring myself to manually install it- I installed through OBMM. As a result, I believe a bug is that the lady who sells your house's receipts does not carry the Magetallow Candles.

So I went into the CS for the mod specific item ID, which is XX004CCD. The "XX" stands for whatever number the mod is in your load order, so simply type in "player.additem XX004CCD 2" without quotes and it will add those candles, as well ass contributing to the quest for buying all the Frostcrag Spire items. ;)

I stated fairly explicitly that the mod was never packaged for any kind of mod manager installation and that a manual install was mandantory.
