I did almost all the other armor quest except for daedric Snak gra-Bura sell new armor but only for legally owned horse I can't buy one for my tamed SHADOWMERE ( using MASCAR'S OVERHAUL ) .
I actually have a question for you my good sir. How did you install this mod? It has an issue with the installation process and OBMM doesn't install it. And what mod manager did you use?
Edit: So for those that are using MO2 to install this. Get the Oblivion Mod Manager Extended and run it through MO2. This was how I successfully installed this mod
If you're simply looking to have Imperial guards' horses auto-equipped with armor, and your load order is full, use the Slof's DLCHorseArmor plug-in included with MMM instead of this mod. It's mergeable, whereas this mod uses an active slot to do the same thing.
Sorry I'm so late to the party, but does this make player-owned horses essential as well? There is an essential horse mod, but it only works until the horse has armour on it. I don't know why getting armour for your horse completely changes it's ID but that is beside the point.
Horse armor doesn't work like player outfits/armors. Since horses do not have any equipment slots on model/skeleton, the mod replces actor itself by new one with new model and stat parameters. If you want make your horse essential, 'Set Essential Actors' mod may help, though I don't think I have ever tried it on creatures.
When I download the obmm file, I only get a bunch of diffrent files, config, data, data.cre, plugins and some others, but no omod file. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?
If anyone wants to install this, I strongly recommend to use OBMM(or TES Mod Manager...) to install OMOD package. Manual installation package will be pain in the a$$ unless you know how to unpack/pack BSA file and use nifskope or something to replace horse armor textures. For OMOD package, the install script will extract needed resources from official DLC, duplicate horse armor meshes, assign them custom textures, then repack them as different BSA file. Thus you need official DLC to use this mod.
