What a cool mod. I tried it with the Draconis family and it works great. From now on, this is a must for my evil characters. Endorsed.

This sounds really cool! I will try it out immediately!

Edit: works good! But when you write Azura's Star is the last option, does that mean it will only be usedif all other soul gems which could hold this soul are filled? Is it possible to make it so that grand souls are always put in the Azura's Star if it is empty?

      Hello,
I have just re-enabled your mod after I had so sort out some problems I had and wanted to make sure it had nothing to do with this mod (I believe it didn't), but there is some strange behaviour... the soul of a level 64 Grummite Deathdealer (Shivering Isles) is put in a petty soul gem, whereas the normal spell puts it in a grand one or Azura's star. I also observed this with other creatures, but not to this extent... Could you please look into this?

Hm. My spell looks on creature's characteristic - Soul Level. The Soul Level in your filled gem is Petty too, right? It seems your Grummite has level 1 soul by default.
Of course, I can make it depend on a creature level, but... is it really necessary? My opinion is that whole Oblivion system of demigod-leveled mudcrabs is one big piece of nonsense. I'd consider that petty troglodite a feature, not a bug.

Tell me what you think about that. May be I'll make some compromise calculation later.

UESP says Grummite Death Dealers have Grand Souls: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Grummite
It's the strongest version of the Grummites, and believe me, it does deserve a grand soul.
When I view the creature in the CS or TES4Edit, it does say "Petty", but apparently this is normal for leveled creatures because it cannot be changed as long as "PC Level Offset" is checked. So apparently the vanilla spell does work with the creature's level, which can also be seen here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Souls#Soul_Strengths

As the Grummite Deathdealer's min level is 20, its soul is always grand.

I would prefer your spell to work like the vanilla one, because the way it is now, the strongest creatures have the weakest souls, at least for my level 67 character. I am also not the biggest fan of the leveling system, which is why I use Francesco's creatures and items mod, but without it there would soon be no enemies strong enough to be a threat.

Okay, have it your way. I've made an update. Leveled creatures get soul based on current level (1-2-7-13-1.

Hey, it's Bethesda's way, not mine.
      But thank you very much!
