Oh wow! I do have to thank everyone that posted nice comments and suggestions. When I did this mod I had no previous experience of modding whatsoever and had only limited knowledge of 3D-modelling so I know damn well this mod looks mostly like crap . It was however created in a time where there was no other Samus Mod available for the game at all so I did it to satisfy my own needs and shared it so that anyone else interested enough could have it too.
But again, THANK YOU to anyone who endorsed the mod and enjoyed it. It warms my novice heart
Could you make a version where the ArmCannon was on the Right Arm? I could use a Spell like Fireball to make it look like it was shooting, instead of DudeofDogs idea, with using an invisible bow. Edit: IF it's possible.
The mod doesn't look right because Bethesda screwed up the animations.
Samus wields her arm cannon on her right arm not the left. This mod obviously needs NifSE because bethesda is too lazy to fix there own games. *sigh*
Here is how you fix the arm cannon:
1. Open up the CS and activate this mod for modification.
2. Go to any bow (I chose the Iron bow) and replace the used .nif file with the arm cannon nif file.
3. Rename the new bow, place it in a spot as close to your character as possible and look at it ingame.
( This is as close to the game as possible)
Another way is to manually modify the NIF file itself so that it appears on the right arm instead of the left, the shield should be the grapple beam. There should be multiple armors to get and the arm cannon should be a blade weapon so if the grapple beam is the shield and the cannon is the blade weapon. That way the fire ball shoots out of her right arm and everything is all game correct.
Bottom line! either MAKE the mod or DON'T MAKE the mod. Don't just half do the job and call it done. We are all getting sick and tired of this Hoo-haa and it needs to stop.
PS: Don't worry chaoticracer, this post isn't directed at you. It is directed at all the careless modders in this community to teach them a little common sense.
Heh. . . what can I do? Bethesda only had so much software to work with to create the game. This is why new games are technologically better than old games.
Oh, okay, lol, I thought I might have to do this to fix this, I know barely anything about coding and probably will never know anything else. Edit: Also, maybe you could add the files to the nexus and add a link to this mod?
listen people u need to think of it this way. A. since cannon's on the left arm, you can the invisible bow texture from pokeball mod to make it so it appear the blaster is shooting. B. for the the helmet you could get photoshop and the halo spartan guard mod, go into the textures, and change the helm tex to the color red.
Or you could use Gimp instead of Photoshop. Gimp is like a free Photoshop almost. Edit: Also, I can't find the pokeball mod. Could you give a link to it if it's on the nexus?
He at least tried. He probably doesn't know how to make 3D Models. He also said his 3DS (Which I think he means 3DSMax) broke, so that could be another reasoning behind it, too.
This is good I don't know what everyone is talking about. I don't care about the lack of texture it adds a unique feal. The design is not 100% acurate but after all you are entitled to artistic license. Overall I like it.
I agree with you. I wouldn't give it an 8/10, maybe a 5/10 though. Like I've said, he said his 3DS (And like a said there, I think he means 3DSMax), and like I said again, he probably can't make 3D Models yet, either.
I didn't see an answer, so, where do I find it? sorry, as I have yet to see it, I feel my only viable critique is to say you should really put the location of the armor in the mod description.
