Wolflady500 kindly made a version that does not require CM Partners Basic. Perfectly clean mod, and working. Thank you very much! This version is ready for download. Puppy is waiting in Pell's Gate and pic up puppy's bowl there, to get puppy summon spell!
This is so stinkin cute. I was wondering if it would be at all possible to have one with pointy ears, and/or a stubby tail? I need to fill my game with puppies!
You love dogs? Yes, me too, my favorite animals^^ Give me a reference picture and I see what I can do.
I now would only make puppies with modified head, since puppies have a baby-shape head. This means the head will no longer be animated. Puppies will look better this way, but bark with closed mouth.
Edit: You can also look for my Doxie, if you don't have it already.
I have your doxie already, and will have no fewer than 3 in my game lol. I see there's now a black texture too! I also wouldn't mind non-animated puppy heads. All of mine are set to flee from combat and stuff so it shouldn't be noticeable at all. I might give them a puppy whining sound though if I can find a suitable sound effect.
I was just kind of asking for a generic pointy-eared puppy, like huskies or shepherds, and/or docked tails. Also, do you know of any good, up to date blender tutorials so I can try tweaking some meshes myself? I want to see if I can make more bushy tails and floppy ears. I've always been able to edit meshes in Blender, but they never show up in-game because I don't know about rigging, skeletons, etc.
If you edit the mesh it is already rigged. There must be something else that is not right. I don't have a Blender tutorial link for you, sorry. I'm learning by doing. All I can tell you is, you have to go into your finished new nif and save it once with nifskope, or else it will not work.
Oh, wow, that simple. Okay, I'll try it. Thanks! That's probably what I was doing wrong all along. I tried tweaking meshes in Blender once upon a time and couldn't figure out why my stuff didn't appear in-game. I even started making leg/foot armor for Argonian Beautification (which I lost in a harddrive crash sadly) and only got the Dark Brotherhood stuff to appear in game, but I had edited the UV in Nifskope a little to cover up my terrible blender skills lol. So that's probably why none of my stuff worked.
I'll reinstall Blender and play around again, then. Thanks again.
Hi again, Betty! It looks more like the stray dogs you find in Italy and Spain and USA..... :-) I love stray-dogs - they look healthier than pure race dogs :-) Very nice work again and again and again and..........
that is because on a genetic basis pure bred dog have a lower gene pool and have a very high risk of genetic diseases and other issues than mutts have. Pure bred dogs have a lot of inbreeding issues and if you look on a reputable site on dog breeds they should list the many issues that the breeds have in addition to a shorter lifespan. Imagine the cliche inbred hillbilly family, that is what pure breds are compared to mutts. Don't go for the pure breeds in my opinion it is not worth it especially since all dogs pretty inherit personality mainly based on how they are and that is what I look for.
I don't use followers or companions much, but this is must have! There is a problem though. Puppy can't climb stairs, like in Red Rose Manor. She just runs against the bottom step, stuck. Thank you for sharing endorsed
I think Wolflady's version might be the right thing for you. For the CM version, if puppy is stuck (also happens with other companions in doors) use the partner ring. It summons all current companions to you.
Just letting you know I've added your puppy to the next update of my overhaul. I've added a little AI to make it chase and bark at people, fixed a couple of minor issues and made it tamable. Thanks.

I see what I can do for more puppy variations.
