Again, should you miss your favourite weather mod, or find a bug, drop a line. Same for missing updates. It's routine now. ^^ -- Hey, I just realised: We're in the movies! There is a video in the Videos tab, @14 March 2016! (Took me almost a year to find it ...) Peter saves the day at 2:30, and several times after. Thank you, angkor! And, what a beautiful game you have got yourself.
I realize I'm late to the party, but any chance for support for NAO https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/50923 It really really would be ideal addition thanks for considering
I was about to begin and make a Tell Peter for Order of The Dragon. How lucky, that I checked this place first ... because, you know, I've already done it! "Thank me, and kudos, too!" ;D - - - Since I'm here: Do you think Rykoss suggestion ( 08-April-2028 ) is cool: like, force some weather type on your every turn, if desired?
Yes, since Oblivion Reloaded doesn't actually edit the in-game weather data like an .esp would; it just changes what the end result looks like. All the weathers are still there and selectable in the menu.
Hey, sorry if this is a dumb question but once the weather is set, is it permanently set or will it go back to whatever its default is when I load/fast travel/etc...? I know it's strange but I really just want freaking clear skys for most if not all of my game play.
Hi, we use the equivalent to the 'ForceWeather' command (console command 'FW'), so, I'm sorry, the answer is No. Don't we all hate this: You're stepping into a store in nicest weather, saying, "Oops, sorry, wrong door," and stepping out into a thunderstorm that has obviously been raging for hours. To prevent this from happening, we'd need a periodically running watchdog script like All Natural Weather has. Hmm. Perhaps we could do just that, as an optional feature... thanks for the suggestion. May I PM you for beta-testing?
Ah, so! I'll check it out.I badly need a mod for this because rain in particular destroys my frame rate (I'm running on a VM, and while it's a 12-core host machine and the guest OS gets four when its running, that doesn't seem to matter for this game, only the CPU speed does, which is 3GHz, but mediated through a VM, so its probably is as if it's a 2.5 or something).
PS: Anyone know why water would show up as a weird grid? Just wondering if there's an INI tweak I can make to fix that, not some "set all your textures to high-resolution" blunt force approach. I have to run with medium-res textures or the game is unusable. (I also have to run with both HDR and Bloom disabled in the VM, as the first gives blackscreen and the latter gives a washed-out look). I ask here, because when it rains the water appearance actually improves (not perfect - still has some long lines in it), so someone may know what's going on if they've worked on weather.
No, this game uses only one core, and doesn't even make full use of it, on an actual machine. I would guess it is the virtualised graphics that is causing problems.
If this mod doesn't work for you, there's still the console. For example: "fw 38eee 1" means, "Force weather to be 'Clear' immediately, and stay so!", while "sw 38eef 0" means, "Change slowly to 'Fog' (I think), and take over from there." For Vanilla, there are only a dozen numbers to remember.
As for the water, you would do best visiting the forum, with screenshots. There's always a guru sitting there.
^^ The other day I have started to think about purchasing Skyrim -- and decided to postpone it. Although it's beginning to get interesting, with the Nehrim people having taken care of the frozen lands. But I'm doing no magic here, and it's totally free to use!
Judging by its description, it seems that troll's mod covers Vanilla + SI weathers only. Our mod also has some features useful for people who like to mess around with their weather configuration -- or, indeed, making weather mods.
Soon(tm). ^^ German: Oh, das tut mit leid, ich habe das "Edit" verpasst. Vielleicht schaffe ich es diese Woche noch. Sind ja nicht so viele Wettersorten.
Hello, I am afraid, this is not in the scope of this mod. This mod provides for an interface to weather types that are available from master files (e.g. Oblivion.esm). Peter is the selector, not creator, of weather. ^^
You could use All Natural which comes with ~4 alternative fog distances, from insanely far to the tip of your nose. -- EDIT: Wait, doesn't Streamline offer this as an option? It's been a time since I have been using it, but I think one can set a fixed OR flexible fog distance there.

How did I miss this mod in your lineup? :O I'm very much looking forward to playing with it! Thanks TesaPlus!!
(Now, that was an easy one update. ^^)
Just digging into this one, but it looks to be headed to my "must haves" list!
just curious

Edit:
By the way, an Atmospheres 2-Version of your mod would be awesome!
Atmospheres 3 and Atmospheres 4 cause serious graphical issues with vanilla-shaders and i cant use OR, OBGE or an ENB

( As is required for a Soon(TM) franchise, we are holding back on our deliveries for a couple of weeks. )
