I've tried the new release. Haven't seen everything yet (including the proper sidewalks), but bridges simply blew me away! (And they always used to annoy me.) It looks like a fantastic job. So. I'm off to chasing pavements. ;P
Good hunting! The bridge cobblestone (which is the only texture I replaced because it's in the sidewalks folder) actually was one of the easiest to do, because I could just use a seamless texture from textures.com as a basis, but I put a lot more work into the others (except sidewalksubtile.dds, which was also very easy to replace).
A new version is up! I have completely remade all normal maps to fix some errors and improve the general appearance and created all-new steps textures. I even edited a mesh (SidewalkSteps02.NIF) to improve uv mapping and reduce texture distortion on the sides of the steps when viewed from certain angles. It is based on the version from the UOP-QTP3 compatibility patch and can also be used with either vanilla or QTP3 textures, if desired.
I am still not perfectly happy with how the steps look so maybe I will completely redesign the mesh some day.
Make sure you have the sidewalks meshes from QTP3 installed to get the parallax effect.
As this version is in every way superior to the old ones, I have deleted all files but the newest.
There are no meshes in this mod, but to have the parallax effect you need those included in QTP3, or the UOP-QTP3 compatiblity patch, though there is only one affected by it: SidewalkSteps02.NIF
Stay tuned, however, as I am going to upload a new version of this mod soon, which will include an edited version of this mesh (besides other improvements).
