I'm not sure what to do. Grneely sent me a fixed version of the boots with a .esp and new textures and everything. He said I can do what I want with it, and I'd like to upload it, (I'd take no credit of course), but I want to make double sure it's alright with you as well.

I'm having trouble getting them to appear in game.
I have some experience with setting up armor and clothing in the CS, and everything looks like it should be fine in both the CS and in nifscope, but when I equip them in game, they just make my character's feet invisible. I've seen the same thing happen when part of an armor lacked normal maps, but it looks like these boots have normal maps.
I'm stumped. Any ideas what could be going wrong?

Also, you might want to mention in the description that these are a resource with no .esp file to add then to the game.

I had the same problem, no matter what I tried in Nifskope. So I imported the mesh into Blender and did a little cleaning. (It's a rather messy object.) I exported it back to a .nif and the boots appeared just fine (after adding them to an esp of course). As an experiment I did the same thing but without any mesh editing, just imported and exported. Worked just fine. There may be a model issue that the Blender .nif converter is cleaning-up on import or export.

I've tried a few times, but I could never get Blender to work on my computer, and if I did, I wouldn't know what I was doing anyway.
Would it be possible for you to upload the fixed mesh or send it to me so I could make a working mod out of it? It looks like the permissions for this and the original Skyrim mod are open.

IT IS NOT THE PROBLEM OF THE MESH ! .... IT IS MY NIF EXPORTER PROBLEM (MAYBE IT CORRUPTED SOMEHOW)
IF YOU HAVE 3DS MAX OR GMAX JUST EXPORT THE NIF ONCE AGAIN AND VIOLA ! YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANT !

I don't have a modeling program, and I bet a lot of other people don't, too. So hopefully you get your program fixed or grneely gets back with the fix soon.
      Again, good luck.

Your paragraph is a little confusing, I understand you're not a native English speaker, but, if you're asking for help I am willing to help how I can.
I've got a .esp ready, and grneely is getting the fixed mesh together, and probably has an .esp too, so your work here is probably done, actually. =)

Until it is fixed, you should add a warning that this mod isn't working yet to the description. It is a nasty surprise when you get a mod that doesn't work. You don't want to disappoint your audience.

the nif 3DS Max plugin won't export every mesh I put in (Skyrim, Fallout, Oblivion, even other mesh from somewhere...)

You had something cool and you were in a hurry. It's fine. It's just nice to let people know if you didn't test something or there's issues is all.

that is why I not yet test the boots but the Nexus complain to me and remove this mod...I already said to them if I gonna upload it when I done fix it...
I just upload it here without testing and wait until someone complaining.....If someone can fix it the feel free to do it...I am to busy with other things...
I'm gonna fix it if I have time to do it because I use 3DS Max & Blender......

      Hi!
Could you remove my image from the "Author" section? It might be a little confusing, since I'm not the mod author and the image is already in the Users section.

Are these boots compatible with HGEC bodies?

They would probably be compatible with any body mod, since they don't have any skin textures. There could be a possibility of clipping with HGEC versions with thicker calves, and of course it will probably clip with some outfits, but I think the standard HGEC legs would be fine.

      k, ty.

Edit: There's no .esp! Can somebody make one? I could try, but I started modding just a few days ago...

I was making one but I couldn't get the boots to work, and I don't have Blender to fix them sorry.

I have a feeling this mod was very rushed. Which is a shame, they're such lovely boots.
