    According to TES4Edit, ReanimationSpellVendor.esp has dirty edits: 9 ITM records. Is this safe to clean?

      Hm I don't have any idea what a "dirty edit" is. I have never even used that program.
      As far as I know the mod works fine so not sure if cleaning is needed, but you can try.

    I use this one since i 'm here ...so , since 2008 , without any problem and without the " issues" your are talking about ( your comment about the resurrected guards ).

    I use this spell in conjonction with " Corspes Collector " , perfect and without any problem . If you get an issue with this one , check the different mods you run because one or more of them is/are incompatible ...

    So this one is a " Resurrect" Spell and not a Reanimate ( as yours i suppose) ...

    There was also a " Waldelfs resurect Spell " ( if i remember well ) , but this one was a "reanimate spell " for a specific time and it makes the reanimated creature or NPC " friendly " .
    But i don't have any link on this machine and maybe it's no more alvaiable ... i'll check that point in a few hours because it's too late in my country ...

    Edit : as a side note , there is already a well working "Reanimate" spell in the Vanilla version ... " TestReanimate" ... i use a french version but the forme ID in the same , try it it works perfectly .

      Good day,

      Personally, a mod that makes the MAGES GUILD of all things sell Necromancer spells is, in my opinion, a real issue. It's 100% an immersion and lore breaker and to put it simply, nobody had gone through the trouble of actually making a new NPC vendor for the spells (back before nexus times I had a similar mod installed as well) which is exactly what this mod does for NMM users. As you mentioned the other mods mess around with the scripts while this mod is completely script-change free, which is a good thing if you have many mods or are using NMM which still fails to add more complex mods to the game. This is also the reason why this mod works with others so well: no script changes. Unlik the other mod you mentioned.

      I'm also aware the reanimation spell was already in the game but this mod makes it available without console, I'm not sure what you're trying to say with that part. You can basically do anything with the console but where is the fun in that?

      So yeah in the opinion of the Rp-people, there wasn't a single good resurrection mod yet so I'm keeping this mod available as it is. If you believe the others are better you are free to use those instead, but this one shall remain mostly unchanged for simplicity.

    I tried the reanimate spell and both times crash to desktop.
    I hope to fix it and keep trying.

      Excuse me, but are you talking about this mod or another one you downloaded? I downloaded this to a friends computer and it seemed to work fine, if there is a problem I'd hope to solve it since this would be the only mod with an actual working spell.

      Speak your mod. I have read that there are problems when used with some guards. I killed a guard Cheydinhall common and used reanination. The 2x crash to desktop. You can try it?

      As mentioned in the description, using Reanimation on Guards can cause glitches because of the scripts they have. Just remember not to use it on them or any other NPC's that have similar traits.
      If you still have problems reanimating regular NPC's then I will look into it.
