Hello, I wanted to give you a report on my experience with this mod.
I was exploring a few dungeons to betatest a mod and to see this marmade of corpses all around that are unlootable and with a unappealing model (one is totally black, another one is a corpse in a pose) and just here for the sake of it, is, according to me, really unrealistic, especially when there are ONLY these two models with no variations. It is unsettling to have so many bodies around or corpses on the open space (especially annoying in the hall of nonungalo).
Maybe if they were only inside coffin I would be ok with it, even if they are unlootable, but the way they are placed right now strikes me as bad.
It also conflicts (thematically) with Better dungeons, because the bodies are not handplaced: as per readme, they are just embedded in the meshes (so they get in the coffins where Better dungeons puts dead lootable people in).
Honestly I would use this mod if you wanted to work on it a bit more and start adding the corpse manually (also a bit of loot on them, even rags would be added flavour). You also gave permissions, so one day maybe I will fix these issues myself.
Thanks anyway.
P.s A note: just removing the .esp won’t remove the bodies. You have also to restore the old meshes (ez pz if you got Wrye Bash)
I just recently started playing Oblivion after changing monitors (the old one made me have motion-sickness, unlike FO3, FNV, Skyrim, etc.,) and am doing a beutification and 'immersion' mod-out and glad that you made this mod, as the empty coffins were one of the things that was bugging me.
You should put corpses in Kvatch, too! Maybe charred or dismembered ones-- I always found it weird how the whole city was sacked and yet it's like a ghost town with no bodies but the Count.
I don't find myself keen with the ones in the rags, and the coffins but the blackend corpses call to me.
Any chance of body piles, bonepiles, corpse piles, and gore piles for the Deadlands? Especially Gorepiles, the Deadlands already has a few charred corpses and the corpses in Fleshsacks (there's a mod which fixes the alpha channel on them so you can see the corpses inside as intended) But fresh meat in meat bags similar to fallout 3 would be lovely, or piles of guard or adventurer corpses from the latest kills and rads the daedra have made.
Actually, if you could add roofs to the regular Interior towers in the Deadlands, that'd be perfect, because they have flat roofs on the outside but that isn't the case when you go inside, and that doesn't make sense.
There's also the fact that the sigil Citadel towers don't give off light to indicate some freaky stuff is going on in there, like a persistent glow or something that needs to be looked into.
Heh, these are some good ideas for inclusion in some major Deadlands overhaul (which would be great, by the way - e.g. something like Better Dungeons or Snus Dungeons is for caves).
As it stands, the mod sounds very interesting. I wish that new stuff were hand-placed, but it's cool touch as it is I'm not sure yet if I'll use it as a replacer or as a resource, but thank you in advance, Guinefort1.
All of that sounds like a great project for someone other than myself. I'll try and take a second look at the Oblivion caves version though, if only to get rid of those distracting clipping errors.
