The YouTube version sounds awesome, but the .wav file here is only 64kbps.... I don't suppose you still have the uncompressed original .mp3 file available.....
No, sorry, this is an old old old old old mod...... :*(
I had a problem with file compression on Oblivion on my old computer, it had to do with my audio being bottlenecked through my CPU because I didn't have a dedicated sound card. If I didn't compress the sound files, they wouldn't play in my game, and I thought this was true for everyone else as well.
One solution is to download the Youtube audio itself using a video downloader software, and then converting the file to wav. Then, it could be installed just like this mod. At least that's what I'm going to try out- I'll see if there's any problems.
I donĀ“t care how low quality the sound is, because I do not register it in the game. It sounds authentic and reminds me of STALKER LostAlpha and when something reminds me of STALKER LostAlpha, then it's creepy as hell. THANX!
I know this is a year late, but personally i'd say the muffling actually enhances it, since it makes it sound like it's coming from the other side of this unnatural passage between seperate dimensions.
Great mod. Now, when I approach an Oblivion Gate, I actually FEEL like I'm approaching an ominous, terrifying gate to a living hell. The fiery glow of an Oblivion Gate always used to terrify me enough at nighttime. Now it scares me during the daytime too. Endorsed.
I wish I could remember exactly, when I made this mod I was going through ENB presets like I go through changes of underwear...I often ended up using a tweaked version of different ENBs that usually have darker nights.
