This program is super convenient. It helps you organise save game files per character.
It saves so much trouble when playing multiple characters.

I noticed that this program can permanently bug out if you fail to configure it properly on the first start.
In my case, the reason was that I had no Oblivion save folder created (had no saved games after fresh Oblivion install) - program couldn't find it and I was not able to navigate to it.
It seems that the program asks you for your save file directory only once. If it fails on first launch, it won't bother again.
I was able to fix my problem by removing the program, reinstalling and making sure that it can find the correct save folder (USER/Documents/My Games/Oblivion) this time.

Just want to say to the uploader, Thanks for posting this! I use these managers for all of my Beth games and have never had a problem.
For those of you that can't figure out how to make this work, here's a quick overview.
1-Unzip the file and place the folder somewhere on the same drive that your game is on.
2-Go into the folder and start the program.
3-Create a new profile and name it after your character.
4-Change the play-button to start whatever program you wish. I have mine to start my script extender loader.
5-Go into the default game save folder and CUT AND PASTE your saves into the new named profile folder you've created.
6-Exit out of everything, start the manager and press play!
Some people have reported problems with Steam and I don't have an answer for you. I run Steam in offline mode before starting any of my Beth games and have never had a problem.
If you still can't figure it out, then yeah, perhaps you shouldn't use this program. But it does work and it works well.

this doesn't detect any new profiles and you only end up choosing from the load list in the game which you can do without using this program at all.

conclusion: this doesn't work as stated: uninstall and THUMBS DOWN

Can someone give a more exact or specific instruction on how to use this.
*select "Savegames" -> "Scan for Savegames/Characters"
There is no option for this?? As it says in Readme.
There is "Scan for new profiles"... but that just brings up a note
to use STANDARD profile and load a autosave... but there are no saves.
I moved save files into obsgm. but saves still don't show up....
So now I have NO access to any of my saves.....
    please help

So, correct me if I'm wrong, this lets you make profiles for each character you have (if you have multiple), keeping their saves separate and easily distinguished?

Yes, it allows you to easily switch between saves without having to search through them via the game's "load" button. I've been waiting for something like this!

Yes. It creates profile folders for your saves. So for example you could make a profile named Darkxenoth - Mage and move your mage character saves there and it would be separate from your other characters. You have to manually move old saves to the new profile folders though.

I remember looking for something like this, I already had one for Skyrim.I'll be sure to try it out later.

    Thanks for sharing!

In case anyone is curious, all the tool does is change the line "SLocalSavePath=" in your Oblivion.ini to the directory of your chosen profile, so it never actually touches your saves. I was curious about how it worked myself when I made it from the source I found at http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15/
