Any word on whether this is fixed by the Unofficial Patch series, such as the DLC patches? Seems strange that such an old bug would go unfixed by the other patches.
Just a comment so those unsure don't have to search far...
You only need the 1.1 update of this mod, not both files, to fix the bug.
Also, as noted many times below, you have to apply this mod BEFORE attempting to pick the lock. If you already picked the lock and still have this bug, you have to revert to an earlier save-file before you attempted to pick the lock -- then apply this mod and it should work with no further issues.
This did not work for me. Maybe it had to do with having picked the door before as suggested by ChuckyIV below.
However, THIS works: Open DLCFrostcrag with TES4Edit and look up the FormID for the Mystic Emporium faction it adds. Then use the console command "SetFactionRank" to give yourself rank 1 in that faction. Result: the door is not marked as "trespassing if opened" and Aurelinwae doesn't turn hostile as you enter. As a side effect you can also take everything in the shop since you're its co-owner, but I consider that preferable to the alternative.
It looks like this fix only works if installed BEFORE attempting to pick the lock, however the TES4Edit 'work around' on DLCFrostcrag is a good back up plan. Might also work for the same bug in Colovian Traders in Skingrad......
This mod only works if you haven't picked the lock yet. I already picked the lock, and the save I have before picking the lock is hours and hours before my current save. Meaning I'd loose around 10 hours of playtime if I want to enter the shop.
This mod unlocked the door just fine, but the shopkeep isn't present inside, even after a few days. How long did it take for him to show up on your games?
TIL: If you use this patch AFTER having picked the lock it appears to fail to work. I reloaded a save from right before picking the lock, and it worked. I also used this load order, if it helps: Oblivion UOP Shivering USIP Knights Frost FUP Battlehorn BUP
Leave it to Bethesda to leave in such a stupid bug unfixed. Thanks man, you're a life saver. I can get in now...but it rains inside. Eh. I'll just chalk that one up to filthy elf magic.
installed mod, loaded my save before i left the starting sewer, fast traveled to market district, emporium is now unlocked, but is still considered trespassing. same issue with either version of the mod. feelsbad
Well, I don't know why lots of comments are saying this does not work but it did for me. I quicksaved just outside the Mystic Emporium and the guy in white was locked out, as usual. I installed the mod, version 1.0 and as soon as I loaded the quicksave the guy entered the store and everything works normally. On a side note, I didn't try to pick the lock or messed with the door in any way so I don't know if doing that might affect the functionality of the mod. Thank you Reubend!

I had the locked Mystic Emporium bug too. After I made a bashed patch however it was fixed.
(You can run Wrye Bash through Mod Organizer by the way. Add Wrye Bash as an executable in Mod Organizer and run it through that.)

Endorsed -- thank you for sharing :)
