I was remodding Oblivion over the winter break and for the first time in years. I've always liked this mod. However, I'm noticing an issue where the cats on the street can't get over the curb and onto the sidewalk. (I'm not expecting for the mod author to ever see this comment.) Also, the cats don't seem to meow unless they are taking damage.

This has the potential to be a great mod, as does the original, but it could use a little TLC in the form of further refinement.

    Great mod!

Is there a console command to spawn a cat? I like to have one wondering around my castle..

Thank you for this. I also felt like there were way too many cats in the original. Now, I only see one every so often, and it makes me happier when I do see one.

Thanks for this mod!! It makes all the towns more realistic. And I like how if you kill them, they have cat whiskers and stuff on them. But my little brother gets mad at me for doing that and makes me feel guilty LOL

This will fit well into my goal to get as many real animals as I can into my game.

    Two thoughts:

    There are too many cats.

They are not skittish enough which makes them unconvincing. Almost every cat I've seen in real life that doesn't know me stays well out of reach. The readme mentioned them fleeing from vampires. That's cool, but they should really shy from everyone.

I think these two problems have a relationship, neither one would be as noticable without the other. It's only when you see two or three on every street that it starts to seem ridiculous that they don't mind if you literally step on them.

Note, I believe this mod is basically successful in it's simple goal of adding cats to city streets. It works, so I'm not gonna downvote it. I'm merely explaining why I find it somewhat dissatisfying.

Do you suppose someone could tag one of these cats as essential and have it follow the PC around for CM Partners? Like a wizard's familiar? I mean certainly it wouldn't be of use in a fight but it could be neat to have a kitty following you around. lol

Per comments suggesting to add mice:

There is already a mod for this out there, called Cats and Rats. And while it is a well-made mod, there are a lot of issues involving NPCs engaging in massive riots; even with the fix where guards won't attack cats, and personal modifications to make my CM Partner compatible (by using the same script,) it seems that there are still NPCs which see it fit to attack a rat, and all of the guards will go to the rescue of said slain rat, and riots ensue.

Until that mod is a bit more stablised, I think I am going to switch to this one. Cats that don't attack things leave much less chance for riots to ensue. I know, cats chasing mice don't start riots in the real world, but this is oblivion we're talking. <img class=">

I am glad there is a simpler mod like this available!

Thanks for your work on this mod. <img class=">

I really like this mod, but I am having a problem. As a stealth character cats prevent being stealthed, is there anyway to turn that function off? Oddly enough it doesn't matter what your skill is they See Through.

Thanks for any tips. <img class=">

Sweet mod and I enjoy it. However like others have already said interaction with the cats would be nice.
