It said DO NOT USE probably because it wasn't fully implemented. It's still missing casting meshes and additional settings, but light blocking works. Only bug is that the shader won't go away instantly, but it's purely cosmetical. Again though, this mod just restores filepaths and renames, it does not add any spells or items which use the effect. Other mods do that.
Nope, it doesn't. But that doesn't mean its completely bug free. So far, I've noticed that the effect doesn't always go away as soon as spell ends. Sometimes you remain pitch black until you change zone.

Does anyone know a spell that really does dark in a given area?
Because I haven't found such an effect in any mod yet.
