About this mod
Replaces the mesh for the daedric artifact called Umbra. Now in a third, new and improved, flawless form!!
- Permissions and credits
Behold, adventurers, the true Might of Umbra, Reaper of Souls!
*End of the D&D G.M. delirium*
Okay, now that I've had my fun, let's get started. This mod gives a totally new mesh and new HD textures to Umbra, the daedric artifact. It now looks much, much more evil. Althought they are hard to discern, the hilt and guard harbor little statues of souls being torn apart, taken away from eachother, powerless before the maws of fate. For what evil can be greater than caging a soul away from both respite and all that it loves?

New V3 model:
After doing a bit of modding after finishign this one, I found ways to deal with issues that bugged me quite extensively with prior versions. I probably won't change it any forther.
The scabbard is now slightly thinner, more elegant with faint runes on it, the diffuse and normal maps are MUCH more elaborate, giving the sword a better overall texture. The whole thing actually looks more like something worthy of being called "a blade"
Since I now quite love the new sheath, it is no longer optional (Didn't want to have to bake 4 more files), but it's not that hard to erase if you learn to use NifSkope.
It still comes in a version that tweaks the enchantment to be infinite, and another version that simply changes the model and inventory icon.
Watch out thought, because of its immense amount of polygons, it will still rape your computer if it is too old.
Hope you like it!
Old V2 model info (Btw, you WANT to use version 3) :
I have created a scabbard for the sword, but I don't like it much, so it is optional.
I have also made little tweaks to the blade's mechanics themselves. The blade is slightly longer to be more realistic relatively to the new model. Furthermore, it no longer needs to be recharged. The need to recharge Umbra has always felt like a joke to me... But I can understand that some people might enjoy recharging the blade every 6 months, so it is also an option.
Those two options actually forced me to make FOUR different files:
1) One that just changes Umbra's mesh - ''Umbra replacer no scabbard no tweak''.
2) One that changes Umbra's mesh and gives it a scabbard - ''Umbra replacer with scabbard no tweak''.
3) One that changes Umbra's mesh without adding a scabbard BUT tweaks its mechanics - ''Umbra replacer no scabbard with tweak''.
4) FInally, one that changes the mesh, adds a scabbard and tweaks the mechanics - ''Umbra Replacer with scabbard with tweak''.
The weapon's overall form was roughly inspired from the Widow's Remorse, an old weapon from World of Warcraft.
Also, for those who might ask about the armor in the screenshots, it's one of my other projects. Consider those screenshots like some twisted sort of self-advertising. If you were thinking of asking about it in the comments section but rather decided to take a look at the readme, know that I am deeply proud of you!
Oh! So, those were the droids you were looking for? *Does weird Jedi finger trick* You Will Endorse This file!
WARNING : This weapon's mesh is very complex (about 50 times more polygons than the original Umbra) and might cause lag on certain computers. Especially old ones.

VERSION HISTORY
1.1 : The scabbard now looks better with magic runes, thanks to Alehazar for the suggestion! Also, the lines and glow patterns on the blade are slightly stronger. The way files are named is now more consistent. Everything's better, really. You totally want to download this. You know it. Do it. Now.
I have left the old files so that those who prefer the scabbard without runes may still download it.
1.0 : Initial release, 7-zip files are now fully operational.

The official 1.2.416 oblivion patch, or the Shivering Isles expansion.

It would be an honor to know that another modder has used these files to further his own goals. As long as, of course, my name appears somewhere.
Do NOT, however, use this mod or any part of it in a Skyrim mod, I'll do that myself once I can get a better dinosaur to play on...

First and foremost, I have to thank the whole TESNexus community for the ideas, tutorials, help and inspiration they provide to every newcomer. Also, many thanks to Bethesda Softworks for producing one of the most fantastic games in the Multiverse.
I must indeed express my thankfulness to the original WoW design artists for creating such a wonderful and unique world.
A few special thanks to:
The owner of the Nexus sites, Dark0ne, for his unrelenting work
LHammonds, for his devotion and help on technical matters
And a very special thanks to Jojjo, whose truly magnificent and inspiring works have litterally sucked me into the fantastic «modding-texturing-3d modeling-animation» vortex.
