This mod was made out of necessity. Chameleon is one of the most overpowered spell effects in the game, and with it you can sneak in front of almost anyone and anything at most levels with ease.
First of all, this mod incorporates the functions of 'No Camo Equipment.' All existing equipment in the game that possesses Chameleon on it will be changed to a Agility+Sneak instead by editting certain enchantments; meaning this mod will be compatible with anything that changes armor.
Shadow and Cloak have received a small 'nerf' to their functions. Shadow will now give 40% Chameleon, while Cloak will give 65% Chameleon. The mana costs were adjusted according to the default method of calculation, but Cloak will still require Master level in Illusion to use.
Chameleon has been disabled as an enchantment and spellmaking possibility. However, I have also removed the flash of light and 'green goo' effect from the casting, which endangered your detection and looked just plain ugly.
Note that existing custom equipment you have made with Chameleon will not be changed, so you'll have to sell it off if you want to take full advantage of this modification.
And finally, the most important feature of this mod is the instated Chameleon Cap, which caps Chameleon off at 65. Keep in mind, due to scripting limitations, the Chameleon Cap will not SEEM to work when you go past 65 - you become more transparent and your active effects show the high number; but rest assured that it IS working, and while sneaking around you will be treated as having 65 Chameleon. This has been tested and confirmed.
