About Varla Stone Patch: I think jgreybear's original Varla Stone nif is intended to emit light and behave like lights of "light" category. But OBLIVION engine seems to disallow items to do like lights, and some people experience crash to desktop caused by Varle stone nif, others don't. So you can fix by yourself if you want: Remove branch NiNode 21 and 43 of Data\meshes\dungeons\ayleidruins\interior\arvarlastone01.nif.
If you get a hotch potch issue (both Vanilla textures of Ayleid ruins and this mod's ones appear at the same time), please try Archive Invalidation. Detailed explanation of "Archive Invalidation"
Loose files of mods must have a newer date than BSA(Bethesda Softworks Archive, compressed files of the game) when you want them to show up in your game correctly. Especially when the mod is "replacer"!
I test the mod by enter one of the Ayleid Ruins and inside I noticed not all the walls and floors replaced there's still a few parts of the area have the default one .. I'm sure I put everything in the right place, but why did I get this result?..
Don't know if I'll get an answer in time, but I'll try anyway. I want to remove the welkynd and varla stones from this mod, but keep Cameran's Paradise, so I need to know if the 3 cprailing01 dds files are part of the stones or Cameran's Paradise?
Yes, those two files I knew that about. I should have included the specific part of the instructions I'm referring to. This: Data/textures/dungeons/ayleidruins/ cprailing01.dds
Since it says "railing" I doubt it's part of the stones, but I could be wrong, so I don't want to remove it without knowing for sure (if you know) and find out later it was part of Camoran's Paradise.
That is not a texture of stones. I recommend you to use some dds viewer, which is useful when you want to know what the texture is. And using Nifskope is good to know which texture is used for the objects.
Why didn't I realize "cp" must be for Camoran's Paradise?! Guess I was so busy with other modding things I never thought about it. Oh, and the 3 stone dds files must mean wall stone, not welkynd or varla stone!
Just want to say I love this retexture so much, especially for custom homes. I dislike the pock marked appearance of the floors and walls in even clean retextures. And I love the glow on the accents. My only gripe is I wish it wasn't such a bright white. While it looks great in the tombs it make arches and steps used as part of other architecture stick out like sore thumbs.
Anyone know if there is a version where the it is slightly less bright and maybe less marbling on the floor, wall, and arch textures?
I am think of trying to combine the various textures to get marble floors, doors and columns, but leave the steps, arches and walls at plain stone to blend in. Not sure if they can mix like that, or if it will look cohesive or good, but we'll see.
I just want to say thank you so much for still working on this, and breathing life in the wonderful ayleid ruins. Have you done anything to the Varla stones? Increased texture definition or given them a gleam, anything? I haven't tried this mod yet, will soon.
I keep getting CTD when near Varla stone I don't know what causing this specifically but ... after I manually delete this file 'arvarlastone01.nif' in this mod the ctd is gone and everything runs smooth now some people that have same issue like me can use this solution too hope it helps
Thanks for your report, but I can't reproduce CTD caused by Varla stones. In misc section, I put a Varla Stone file which I got rid of non-functional nif setting from. Please try it, and tell me whether it works or not. If you don't mind
heeiiiii you still active !! this surprise me usually a mod that not get any update in such a long time is abandoned by its author but you still care. that's amazing
here's my report there you go >>> http://i.imgur.com/U0NBLOp.jpg
I think a quick fix is: Delete data/textures/dungeons/ayleidruins/ arironwork01.dds arironwork01_n.dds arspikes01.dds arspikes01_n.dds
more effective fix is: quick fix, and then delete data/textures/dungeon/jgaleid/ metal.dds metal_n.dds And replace them to ironwork texture of Vanilla.
complete fix is: Change the value of glossiness of all the ironwork meshes of my mod after the two fixes above.

So you can fix by yourself if you want:
Remove branch NiNode 21 and 43 of Data\meshes\dungeons\ayleidruins\interior\arvarlastone01.nif.
Data\meshes\dungeons\ayleidruins\interior\arvarlastone01.nif
を開いて21と43のNiNodeをremove branchしてください。

The former one is available with obmm and NMM, maybe Vortex too.
I recommend the latter, Sky BSA. :)
arvarlastone01.nif
arwelkyditem01.nif
I think the two files above are related to the two stones. Just remove them.
Data/textures/dungeons/ayleidruins/

Good idea, clarifying the instructions like that.
Sorry for inconvenience!

I'm relieved to see it worked.
I never thought that Varla stones can be this beautiful --- splendid !
glad I could experience it

If the mod you said is this one, Koldorns Ayleid Ruins Textures, it does not have meshes as far as I took a look at those files.
