I was allways thinking the same thing, if you are really leaveing it all behind you what about the rest of the gear. Good show, and with a name like thelaughingrouge I think I know a little about theif gear... Nuk,Nuk,Nuk.

Thanks, I love hopping around and being a Thief, and I thought a thief in full Mithril just looked ridiculous.

I'm a little Bit pissed at the moment and (excuse my language but it is the truth) because my computer runs so freaking slow that if it crashing I will never stop crying until I either Die or I get new computer (I am that pissed) and every time I'm trying to get these mods into the game it feels like as if I am trying to crash my PC even though I am trying my hardest not to (The problem is not putting onto nexus mod manager or download manually that's not the problem, Here's the problem: say I got two hundred and fifty five mods on my PC and I launch oblivion it will just crash to the desktop without an error message as if I was trying to crash my very own PC) and I'm using windows seven K I need to either get a more expensive from and one of my staff needs to go with me to get it or I am just bored without mods, oooooooooooooooooooooooooh and speaking of mods I heard a rumor that the more mods I have on my game the more fun the game is and I have one to ask about that: I have to ask, is that rumor still true or is it false because I'm just concerned. And once again I'm sorry for my foul language but I'm just telling you the truth ShankNinja I'm not saying "Psht because I'm that pissed it is all your fault" I'm just saying I'm just wanting to put mods on my PC without the game crashing. Does that make sense?

I believe having too many mods can cause the game to crash on load. If you disable all the mods you don't necessarily need and it works, you can begin adding them one-by-one until problems occur, indicating which mod is problematic. Sorry I haven't been on in so long but if you need help I'd be happy to.

Not only this, but the game does actually have a hardcoded limit of 255 ESMs + ESPs in sum. So having 255 mods + Oblivion.esm = the game engine's run out of mod-index values to assign to the last one => error.

In order to be able to use more than 255 plugins and masterfiles at the same time one needs to "merge" some. This simply is a hardcoded game engine limit that cannot be overcome.

And yes, even when staying below the 255 active ESM/ESP limit, there's still no guarantee the game won't crash by mod overload and instability increased too much. But it all depends on the kind of mods one's using, what exactly they do, and their own scales, of course.
