Yes, Alice does move fast, but so do real spiders especially when you go for the bug spray. Ahem.... In fact i found it so realistic it gave me the creeps when I first made the mod and tried it out, especially when Alice is scuttling around in the long grass. Just as well it's on our side.
Getting in your attack angle is a problem with most, if not all companions I'm afraid, but at least it keeps the enemy busy.XD.
Really nice work! Having pet tarantulas as a kid, I had to download this mod. Alice is hella tough and fun to watch in action, especially when he uses the poison attack. Makes a good tank... since everyone makes a beeline for him, seems all of Cyrodiil has arachnophobia. Which makes me wonder if that burned down shack was the end result of the previous own finding Alice in their house?Ha ha. Anyways, really good pet for a mage type character. At lvl 16 he held up three minotaurs and three trolls at once allowing me to pick them off from afar or sneak in and stab them. Though he moves pretty fast and had a tendency to get into my attack angle.
Nice work on putting this mod together, everything worked fine and Alice was easy to use, in my opinion. Thank you.
Good job on this, perfect pet to add to my dungeon for simple effect. And the added spell makes it this dl worth it even if you don't want to use the spider itself.
Well, a ruby can be an eye in a statue.... and since it's the only thing you would have found above you it seemed logical to me at the time. Anyway, I'm glad you found it.
As far as the spider getting caught on things that's because of the wide flat shape of the mesh which there's really no solution. You'll find she gets caught on some stairs as well but that happens with most creatures as they can't climb up stairs and ledges like NPC's can. They will teleport to you so it's not a big deal really.
I may upload an esp with a slightly smaller spider as I would prefer it myself. However, it won't be a lot smaller as that will cause even more problems with stairs and ledges etc. I know it's a pain but that's the way creatures are programmed in the game.
When I get around to that I will also add the sneak function to the script. It won't need a clean save.
But, I might also remove the gem altogether and add the summon spell in the script like my other companions. That would require a clean save and restart of the mod though.
I can't find the spider's Eye, I got the dagger from the chest but I walked all over that house and couldn't find it. Alice Follows me just fine, but she gets trapped behind things a lot which is fine, if I could just find that damn Eye. I read the instructions and it said look at the screenshot for the location, I assume you meant the house not the Eye. And you also said look above your head which... I looked everywhere... with no luck. Also there is a missing mesh for some reason in the center of the burned down house not sure if it's from the mod, or another, I'm assuming it's another and hoping to hell and back that it's not the eye.
Retracted I found it. Should give some hint as to what the Eye looks like. I was expecting something along the lines of an eye haha not a ruby.

I take it you're not a spider fan. Actually I'm not fond of them either in real life, but in a game I can kill...I mean handle them.
