This is an Excel 2003 file I developed to help me with tracking Skill Advancement and achieving Efficient Leveling. I’m still relatively new to the game and have found it a chore to keep up with skill advancement while the game is in progress. It also seems that if you want to follow the Efficient Leveling strategy, your first 5 levels are the most critical. Not getting +5 to Attributes during the early levels seems like it would be fatal in the long run. Hence this spreadsheet.
From what I have seen in other Skill Trackers, the biggest challenge has been finding a fast, simple way to create a custom page with all the necessary details that can be changed each time you start a new game with a different character. This is my attempt to solve this.
This is a pretty simple “brute force” solution but I have found it helpful so I thought it would be worth sharing. Might be particularly useful for newer players.
The file is just a simple spreadsheet that contains a series of drop-down menus that permits the user to: -Select and organize Major and Minor Skills -Align those Skills with the governing Attribute -Keep track of Skill advancement so that a Level increase does not sneak up on you
In Oblivion language, this file should be able to be used by even an Excel “Novice,” and anyone at “Apprentice” level or above would hopefully be able to understand how I created the file and the cells. Hope some folks find this useful. If there are any Excel “Experts” or “Masters” out there who can make this better, have at it!!!
Instructions for those who need them on how to use the spreadsheet are included in the first tab of the workbook.
