Ok, every time I load my game my character is now bald. It seems that this mod is not remembering which hairstyle I've chosen. The Mesh and Texture files provided by the download contain .ini file folders, but they are empty, suggesting that these will receive information during gameplay. But mine are still empty. Would someone post what their .ini folders for this mod contain, or otherwise shed light on what is going on with my game? I'd really like to start the game and see my new hair without having to re-select it with the shift< and > keys.
Edit: Problem solved. It was WryeBash. The Mesh and Texture folders that come with this mod contain empty .ini files, which should not be installed with WryeBash or the empty files will keep overwriting anything else. Solution: The .esp file may be installed with WryeBash the usual way, but the filepaths for the Mesh and Texture folders should be placed in the Data folder manually. This will place the .ini files where they need to be and it will prevent WryeBash from overwriting them.
This mod doesn't seem to work well for Throttlekitty's hair mods. The female styles end up looking all wacked out like my character was attacked by an electric razor. The 3 male hair styles work fine. But I noticed that Throttlekittys mesh files include a .tri file, which perhaps this mod does not adjust for? Speculating really, but I would like to know why Throttlekitty's mods don't work and Coolsims and Cazy work fine for me. Having trouble with anything by Nouk as well.
I'm having a problem. I don't have the meshes, textures, or esp for this installed. I don't THINK I've ever even downloaded it, yet every time I run Oblivon, THIS MOD complains that I need the obse plugin collection for it. I DO have your high heels system installed, but the message says it's from the Hair Eye Extend System. Is it just a universal message regardless of which of your mods it's coming from? I double a triple checked, but all the files required for this aren't in my Oblivion folders...
I have the Problem, that under "hair style" there is only one button "1" and the hairstyles I added manually are not shown... There is the error message: error in script 70000819 Operator:= failed to evaluate to a valid result File: VipCxj_HairEyeSet.esp Offset: 0x0237Command: Let
<strike>VipCxjs Hair Eye Extend System & VipCxjs Air Fight System both popup message saying I use older version although I use the correct version. Just look at the screenshots.
Maybe this mod after all works only with OBSE 0020beta5? If anyone got hold of this version please post the link to it. On the nexus I can't find 0020beta5 though I can find other 0020 betas. </strike>
**endorse endorse** I was about to uninstall the mod because I couldn't figure out how to make it work, but I'm super glad I didn't. This mod is awesome. I don't know whether to hug you or kick you, vipcxj. You make such an awesome mod, but leave no instruction on how to work it in game. lol
If anyone else was as confused as I was, this is what you do in the game (after you've added the nif, egm and dds files to the appropriate folders as per the readme instruction)
In the game, go into your inventory menu and find the item called "Hair Eye Extend System" under the "Misc" category. Click on it to open the controller. If you want to change hairstyle, click on "Hair Style." This will take to you the list of subfolders you've added. Whichever subfolder you want to cycle through, make sure that the + is in front of it. Clicking on it will change the plus to a minus (+ means enable, - means disable). Now CLOSE your inventory, go into 3rd person view or just toggle the camera (so you can see yourself), then hold down shift and press > or < to cycle through the hairstyle you've put in that sub folder. If you change the hair color or click reset in the menu screen, you have to close the menu screen to see the effect.
I didn't know I was supposed to close the inventory to cycle through the hairstyles. I thought I was suppose to keep the menu screen open so I could see my character as I make the changes. Heh. Hopefully these tips will help anybody who was confused.

vipcxj, you're one sexy modder. You've saved me so much time and headache with this brilliant mod. Now I can change my character's looks without having to use the console command. Thank you so much. XD

The mod "VipCxjs Hair Eye Extend System" Error! You need newer OBSE. The version must be greater than 0020beta4. Your version is 0021beta4.
I say wtf?
Is there way to turn off this message? It pops up every 10 seconds or so.
I solved the problem by downgrading to 0020obse. The hair swamping doesn't seem to work.
I have
Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\vipcxj\hair\01\01.nif
Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\vipcxj\hair\01\01.egm
Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\vipcxj\hair\01\01.dds
Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\vipcxj\hair\01_n.dds
Maybe this mod after all works only with OBSE 0020beta5?
