I was waiting long time for such a tool (like DDS viewer), but- it only uses absolute paths ("path Crogram FilesBethesda SoftworksOblivionData wasn't found").
xyzman - excellent idea! (I was wondering how to get around the problem with a lot of black clothes - nothing is visible on the black background - this solves that!)
Uploading a new version now with upper left pixel detection.
Note - if your area of selection has an upper left not within the preview area, this will cause problems...
Hi ! Interessting Idea. A suggestion: I have another backgroundcolor. Maybe you get the color of the upper left pixel (it should be background) and use this for trimming the pictures instead of black ?

Suggestions: less lossy compression jpg or png option
Added a new version yesterday with some much needed features, no complaints yet so hopefully it is a bit more useful now!!
Yes the DDS thumbnail viewer (I assume you mean the nvidia one? http://developer.nvidia.com/object/dds_thumbnail_viewer.html ) is excellent!
I will take a look at the paths now... will see if I can can put some .ini functionality in there as well. Might be a little while though!
although this is mainlyu just source code, if you look inside the archive, in:
NifPreview-NifPreview-bin-Release
there is an executable. That file on it's own should work I think.
I really need to implement something to save the settings.
I can also see this not working correctly on vista or windows 7...
