Prior to Oblivion, and specifically in the Pocket Guide to The Empire Cyrodiil was described as a vast jungle. Arena's maps of the region with a boreal green, fading into brown in the west and a richer pine green in the southeast, towards Black Marsh. Oblivion, however, found Cyrodiil to be completely lacking in any form of tropical climate. During an interview with Todd Howard about things that he wished had been implemented in Oblivion, he mentioned that he felt like the differences between Colovia and Nibenay were far too subtle. So now this mod will also attempt to highlight the differences between the Colovian and Nibenean subcultures of Cyrodiil.
Pocket guide to the Empire 3rd Era: The province is mostly composed of jungle though many other climates can also be found near the borders of adjacent provinces. In the center of the province is Nibenay Valley composed of grasslands with a vast lake at its center with several small islands, the capitol city of Cyrodiil (or the Imperial City) spread across them connected by bridges and gondolas. Most of Cyrodiil is indeed a river based society surrounded by jungle.
This mod will attempt to recreate the fascinating jungle climate described in the pocket guide to the empire, and from in game descriptions in TES 3 Morrowind. The Imperial palace has also had some minor construction, with the addition of the Imperial Throne room, and the Emperor's chambers, on the highest levels of the tower. The King', Queens, Lords and ladies of Highrock, Morrowind, Hammerfell and Skyrim have all arrived have also arrived to discuss, how best to respond to the Oblivion Crisis. And a final feature not yet included with this release will be the city of Sutch, which is shown on several maps of Cyrodiil, and was cut from the game before release for unkown reasons.
