If you try adding this mod with the vortex mod manager it won't automatically add the .esp file to your plugin list when you install the download. That keeps the moonshadow elves from showing up as a selectable race. You have to install the .esp file manually using the Install From File tool in the Mods tab. That will get the race to show up on the character creation screen.
Anyway to disable the visual effects from scripted version, without turning off the buff? its all good if not for constantly being shower with white spell thing
Had the issue where I was getting a missing head and pink body or the race just wouldn't show. Finally got it by manually installing the mod WITHOUT the custom script, then using Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) to make sure the .esp file was active, then making sure everything was in order using Load Order Optimization Tool (LOOT).
For the future, guys, if you figure out how to get something working, don't just say "nvm, got it". Please be courteous and explain what your issue was and how you fixed it.
This is a very well made and well put-together mod, however there is one problem for anyone who may use this for a serious play-through:
One of the racial passives of this mod is 'Reflect (5)', which will cause all hits done to your character to damage enemies, even blocked attacks. This unfortunately makes Efficient Leveling (check Oblivion Wikia if you're not familiar) infinitely harder, as now you will have a much more difficult time having monsters attack you in order to level-up Heavy Armor, Light Armor, and Block. At medium-hard difficulty, rats die after attacking my character for ~a minute. For those who set the difficulty slider all the way down, the mob is likely to die after a hit or two. The only way to counteract this as far as I know would be to constantly heal the monsters with Restoration as they attack you, which is not really feasible if you are Efficient Leveling (not to mention the strain on Magicka).
Having checked the documentation and install options, there seems to only be a way to turn off the spell-related racial effects, but not the passive ones. This unfortunately makes the mod unusable, which is a shame. An esp file to disable racial passive bonuses would be highly appreciated.
It is not recommend to use NMM for installing. NMM and Oblivion don't get along with each other. Same with their new toy Vortex. Better install manually (drag & drop) or use the OMOD version and install with OBMM.
I installed the mod using NMM, I entered the game, then I went to create my character. When I went to create a MoonShadow Elf, It sent my screen across the prison cell and didn't even show my character till I was done creating it, well when I was "done" creating the character I went to see what she looks like, and the face is gone while the body is purple. Anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this? Please help with a list of what to do to fix this please...
NMM and Vortex are less than ideal for oblivion modding. I suggest taking a look at Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) for your oblivion modding needs. This mod contains an .omod file that is directly readable by OBMM, once you download OBMM, all you have to do after installing the main fie from this mod is placing it into a temporary folder, then finding and double clicking that omod file and it will load into OBMM.

I hate it when someone post "nvm" without explaining the fix.
