The best way to find out what this or any mod does is to download and discover for yourself. Don't accept my opinion, form your own. Because, like most people, I am biased and sometimes wrong.
Second disclaimer: I am not an expert, just a hobbyist. However, any information further presented is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
If still interested in a small report despite the warnings, here it is.
1. The "animated" in the title does not mean the hairs move like the HDT hairs from Skyrim 1. They do move with the body from the standing to the sneaking positions. 2. The hairs titled "GrowlfsHeadofCurls" and "Braid01Curly" work as they are. 3. The process using Nifskope outlined by ThommyMD in their post below works as described to get all other hairs working (visible). But, I already had Nifskope installed and have some experience with it and the process still took about 90 minutes due to the number of files needing to be edited. 90 or so. 4. Yes, it would be better if the mod were fully functional on its own, but (for me at least) digging around in the files gives a small idea of, and appreciation for, the amount of work perfomed by the author in creating, uploading and giving it away.
Summary: I judge the in-game results to be worth the effort. You might not.
This mod is messed up. Most of the wigs don't show in game. You can take the time edit them in nifskope, but they still aren't animated and many of them still don't show correctly even after editing. The author has been gone for over a decade so don't hope for a fix. Just skip it.
i would still like to know what outfit/where to get that outfit thats in the picture with the trolls please. i really want it. it is not in his hot clothes and armor 5 full.
Hi guys, for anybody who have problem with ghost textures in game. Every wig shows ok at the inventory menu but once in the actual game they're all invisible except the curly ones.
Download NifSkope and open the hair nif. In render window click on textured hair. Left side you see the selected hair. Expand with the small arrow. Mark "NiAlphaProperty". In small windows at bottom there is an entry named "Flags", do right clicking on this and select Flags. Now small window opens.
Here the options: Enable Blending on Source Blend Mode = Src Alpha Destination Blend Mode =Inv Src Alpha Enable Testing on Alpha Test Function = Greater Alpha Test Threshold = 100 no Sorter off
I have recorded the steps with screenshots into ThommyMDs excellent text tutorial into making the invisibile wigs, visible! I had a really hard time working it out-spent days on it until I found ThommyMDs tutorial, and for those who are still confused I hope this helps.
Additionally, if your using 32 bit windows and you cannot open nifskope, download nifskope version 1.1.3 and you should have no problem!
1. In nifskope, open the .nif file of the Growlf hair you wish to change.
2. Navigate to your oblivion/data folder and search for .nif for easier finding!
3. Open
4. Use your cursor in the rendered model in the center, and drag the model around until you can visibly click the hair in the image, like shown below.
5. Click the small arrows to open the tree on the left side of the window, as shown.
6. Right Click on NiAlphaProperty
7. Select Flags
8. Select the options and change them to match the options as shown in the image below, Press accept
9. Select save as
10. Confirm to overwrite the file, Done!
You will have to repeat this for each hair you want to use! hope this helps! Sadly the animation still doesnt work for me though.

Edit: I realized other guys' instructions (here) are needed for fully functioning. Thank you guys! By the way, very good looking hair mod!
