This was the very first mod I installed into my game, and I'm new at PC gaming, so that's saying something. I've been playing the vanilla game on PS3 and Xbox for 5 years, and finally switched to PC about a month ago. I've been waiting for food to matter in my game for a long time.

It's a hardcore mod, but a 'light' hardcore mod. It's cute! Basic Primary Needs adds a lot more to the theme, but I like using Natural Hunger for one of my characters. It was my first mod in my very first PC game, so I'll always have NH on my list.

Works absolutely perfectly. It takes some getting used to at first, due to it sometimes not saying you are full/no longer hungry until you exit the menu and wait a while, and you need to eat a number of foods that's weight add up to around 1 or 2, but after that it's perfect. The fact that you slowly recover health after you've kept yourself well fed for a few days is awesome, and I couldn't imagine playing without this mod anymore - Endorsed!

One of the easiest of use hunger mod around AND very stable.
Use it with as many mods as you want it work very well !!
Other competitor in this area just CTD because of conflict or too heavy build.
This one work very well for the lvl of hunger in the HUD you can
add this to 'HUD Status Bars.ini':
    set tnoHSB.hud_color to sv_Construct "HUDcolorBrown"
    set tnoHSB.hud_val to sv_Construct "QfStomach"
    set tnoHSB.hud_min to sv_Construct "0"
    set tnoHSB.hud_max to sv_Construct "2000"
    set tnoHSB.hud_x to HUDbarsRight
    set tnoHSB.hud_y to HUDbarsLow
a trick from the badcat mod but it work well for this ancestor too

I chose this hunger mod because I didn't want conflicts with OOO. However, after having the Well Fed Ability giving me 8 hp/sec, I'm quite a bit dissappointed. I tried setting the hp gain for the ability to 0, no change. I had to remove it to stop the regen. Unfortunately, this means the mod doesn't work. So I'm stuck.

It's been 5 months since my last post, and though I have not been playing or coding, I still connect with members of this community.

I have just learned that PrettyMurky has worked with the code from this mod and created something new. As I stated, anyone can use the code that I provided for any purpose. I am glad to see that it is still useful, especially since I have not been able to continue supporting the mod.

I am currently not able to playtest PrettyMurky's mod for myself, but here is the link for anyone who is interested: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41537

It's been a long time since I've worked on this mod. I just want to let the community know that I wish I could keep working on it, but unfortunately I cannot.

For those who have any problems with the mod, remember that you can disable it at any time without breaking your game. To reset the mod, simply save your game, disable mod, save game, enable mod. And if you've eaten in the past, the mod will know, even if you reset it.

Otherwise, feel free to alter/distribute the code as you wish.

    And good hunting!

I ate 2 apples and then slept. during the sleep it told me that I was hungry, then said I was well fed. then when I got up it told me that I was famished, and then well fed again. May need to do a little more tweaking

Buggy mod. Always had well fed bonus, sometimes I could eat infinite amount of food and it would never say full.

I think that the health regeneration is a good idea, but make it take about ten to sixty times longer.* (sleeping/waiting for one hour only increases your health a little bit anyway)

Also if you can, make it so that it heals based on in-game time, I like to adjust the timescale a little bit so that the time goes by a little slower.*
