== Changes ==

1.2 - Altered spell lists slightly. Some spells are now learned at different levels than previously, and Bound Cuirass replaces Bound Greaves.
- Now recognizes skill-level values other than defaults, so is compatible with mods that lower (or raise!) skill requirements to achieve Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master.
- Added text to the book.
- Book now has weight.
- Included .omod version, for use with Timeslip's Mod Manager utility.

1.1 - Corrected issue with overwriting scripts. This mod should now be properly compatible.
- The book will now teach an additional spell of each school when the player obtains 100 skill.
- The book can be gained automatically by joining the Mages' Guild.

== Effect ==

This mod adds a book to the Arcane University lobby, the Libram Magisterium. Reading this book will teach a character spells, depending on his skill levels in the various schools of magic. At least four spells per school can be learned in this way -- usually one at Apprentice level, one at Journeyman, two at Expert, and one at Master. The book can be re-read upon obtaining higher skill levels.

The book belongs to the player faction, and so can be picked up without "stealing" even if you are not a Mages' Guild member.

A copy of the book will also be given to you when you become an Associate member of the Mages' Guild at any guild hall.

The spells are selected with an eye to diversity and balance. As the mage's skill increases, he will learn one or two spells of his new skill level or a lower skill level. He will not learn the most powerful spells -- those must still be purchased. He will also not learn a full array of spells; he will still want to buy spells of the lower levels to fill out his capabilities. However, he will learn enough to keep up. This will be most useful to Apprentices in the early part of the game, where pure casters can fall behind due to insufficient funds.

Changing the spell selection is trivial, if you're not happy with the default.

== Rationale ==

Mages end up paying MUCH more money to maintain parity with enemies than warriors do. This is just to help them out a bit. It doesn't provide a full magical arsenal, but it does ensure that a mage will gain a useful variety of effects as he levels up.

== Compatibility ==

Should be compatible with any mods that do not modify the Arcane University lobby. This mod adds only one book and one script.

May or may not be compatible with mods that do modify the lobby.

== Installation ==

To install, Un-RAR, place the .esp into your Data folder, and activate on startup as normal. Or, place the .omod into your obmm/mods folder and activate it from the Mod Manager.

To uninstall, delete the .esp from your Data folder. Or, deactivate it from the Mod Manager. Uninstalling will remove the book, but will not remove any spells you might have learned from it.
