This concise message would be very useful in your Description at the start. The Description is unclear as it is, and such an excellent mod should not be overlooked because the intro is unclear. You spent a lot of effort and talent to create this mod and it would be a shame to have it ignored because people did not understand what it does, and how it differs from others. I almost passed it by myself, and I was searching for exactly this. Fortunately I was fresh, and decided to examine the posts to see if they clarified what this mod did, and if it functioned without dire consequences. It appears that it is especially well constructed and clever. I am also grateful it doesn't depend upon other programs to function. Not everyone uses OBSE and it is good that use will not be limited to those who do.
Thank you for sharing a much needed and elegant mod. I will bless you every time I exit. :-)
I tried almost all the other exit "hacks", but without any luck. (Vista 64bit) This one does the trick however. VERY NICE AND FAST. Good for testing mods
This program works just like it's advertised......THANK YOU...THANK YOU....THANK YOU!!!!!! I am shocked this file only has 10 endorsements. Anyone that plays Oblivion should have this utility in their grab bag. This is a must have.
If you have a copy of Visual Basic 6.0, then you could change the "Oblivion.exe" in the code to any process of your choosing. The program could then be re-compiled to handle any process at all.
I'm not going to release a new version which allows it to do this without editing the source code, however. It's a tool specifically for Oblivion, as I haven't come across any other type of game which can stop access to the Task Manager.
If you want a program that can be scripted to stop the process of other types of games, check the official forum thread. There's a discussion about using Auto Hotkey to do this.
yeah good point thanks, I have to admit if you made this then your clearly not 10 lol and in the case of the differences this exiter does prove a valuable last resort to the other exit mod, as its not a mod and its better than using control alt and delete, does it work with other games as well?
Like for instance you select your exe before the game starts up then can key press crashes it just incase it freezes.

The difference between this and FastExit is that this program runs seperately from Oblivion.
This means that if Oblivion.exe freezes, you can end the process without having to restart your computer.
The program doesn't "crash" Oblivion, it simply kills the process which is useful if the game itself has frozen, making any OBSE plugin useless.
And I'll change my profile. I think it's fairly obvious I'm not 10 ">
