I didn’t enjoy playing this mod. I recommend trying it and checking if it suits your taste, but in my case it definitely didn’t.
1) First of all, I didn’t enjoy that you have to go key-hunting, lever-hunting, wall-hunting, trying to find the way. This is basically the essence of the mod itself (some may enjoy it, I don’t).
2) At first, the story seems okay but on a closer inspection it doesn’t strike me as being particularly coherent. The fact is, the raw story is there, but it was made unnecessary complex. Some examples.

a) According to the diary of Meldoc Re, Dagoth Ur’s body was recovered: not only I find this kinda unrealistic, but it also serves no purpose to the story itself. I didn’t find his body, nor it served any purpose for the quest itself. In fact…
b) The diary mentions the act of “capturing Dagoth’s essence and putting it into another body”. I don’t understand what is this essence being talked about. The fact is, you already made known to the player that Dagoth’s original body was being revived to no avail by the necromancers. Then you mention Dagoth Ur’s essence and the fact that it has to be infused into the body of a Xivilai. But where did they take the essence, given that in the first pages of the diary it is stated that “no life has clung to the body of the master”? And what’s this “essence” they are talking about? The master is dead.
I would have done it differently: make it so that the boss has found the mask and he believes that the mask contains the essence of Dagoth Ur. He had to flee after finding it (I’m pretty sure such a mask would be surely guarded) and when he worn it, he heard the whispers of his masters asking him to revive him.
The mask would have then become the core part of the story. Now if these whispers are true or not, they are left to you as a mod developer, but at least, you now find an explanation to the essence itself. They are trying to put the essence of the mask into the revived body.
c) In the end, after you kill the Xivilai, a little shrine with the mask appears. I don’t understand why the mask should move automatically to the shrine itself – and I was left a bit disappointed by the fact that the reward is really really underwhelming in power.
An enjoyable dungeon crawl. Dagoth Ur seemed a little underpowered compared to the fight the guards put up but definitely worth recommending; good work!
So far so good. I greatly enjoy this mod. The layout of the dungeons is very interesting, enemies are well balanced, and triggers and levers are cleverly modified and placed in ways that sometimes seem frustrating but their discovery always gives a sensation of reward. But - like many people before - I'm stuck on level two where I can't find the key to the next door. I read TheRomans's hint, but it seems the key was indeed thrown about (there was a lot of racket in that chamber when I entered with my minions) and now can't find it no matter how meticulously I comb the area. Does anyone know at least which key it was - rusty, brass, or heavy - so that I could use moveto console command, pick it up and proceede?
