    Fun quest. My only problem was finding the wandering smith that starts it. I played it three times, choosing a different personality each time and the lines and voice acting is perfect. I also tried the "all three" at once but it quickly defaulted to Atkvir and never changed. The Shield Quests were fun. Thanks

    Finallly found where some kind player bothered to tell us mere mortals how to start the thing. 

    Just go up and down the road between Bravil and Leyawin until Krump finds you, follks! 

    Dunno why the mod never told me that, jeez. 

    But now I can't find this dock that is supposed  to point the way to the grip of the weapon. 

    Is there any known incompatibilities with the Elseweyr mod?

    Hello so ive encountered a problem, Im doing freds quest, and im at the part where i have to find and kill the ferocious bear, but i dont see him anywhere, i went to the lake located around north east of sarahs house, but theres no bear, is this a bug, if it isnt, can you DM me the exact location of the bear.

      walk to and from bravil and leyawin, youll find krump he'll tell you what to do then

    I told Krump I want 3 souls but the quest ended when I took Atkvir soul, no idea why, and how do I get shield ?

    @ Nevermind, It works, I already got Fred and Samson shield, the bear only appeared at night, and it was nearby, Darkhaven has many doors but you got look for chests, inside the chests are the keys you need, no problems here aside from strangely super fast respawning enemies.

    @Almost done, but how to get last kill for Aktivir quest? killed 4 in Skingrad but thenon map it directs me to east of Skingrad and the compass targets Skingrad, where is that guy? I checked CS and he is supposed to be in Skingrad Castle Courtyard but he is not, I tried to advance quest trough console but it broke the quest, how can I spawn that damn Lieutenant Trellis so I can kill him?

      I managed to finish the quest in the end, had to set stages and then add shield to the game by CS, when quest was completed by code and picking the shield up activated the script to give me Channel Spirit ability.

    Just tried out the mod a bit. Did the Samson quest and now I'm here leaving my thought. lol

    Since I have only done Samson's part, so I can only comment on mainly Samson's quest.

    *SPOILER ALERT*
    Since I couldn't find a walkthrough anywhere on the net so I will drop it here. If you have not yet done the quest and want to do it entirely on your own, then skip this all.

    The general walkthrough is like this:
    1. Get to the cave.
    2. Make your way to the wizard and kill her, get the supply key from her.
    3. On the upper floor, there is a locked chest on an isolated area south of the floor, you need to jump to that area. Unlock the chest and get the key within.
    4. Get back to the lower floor and unlock a door with a guy within. Kill him and get another key.
    5. Open the trainer's room using the key. Kill the trainer and acquire the pit key. Go inside the pit after all.
    6. Kill those skeletons and unlock a locked chest, get the key inside.
    7. Continue your way down until you meet the captain. Kill him and acquire his creature's door key.
    8. Make your way to the last locked door and get prepared for a tough fight.

    The quest itself is generally okay, while it's not entirely impossible, I do agree that the quest isn't well designed. The dungeon is quite dark and without a torch you can't really see anything. This suits quite well with the name Darkhaven, and I quite like the idea. However, it is also because of this that makes the dungeon confusing to walk. Quite often I got lost and headed the wrong way, pretty time consuming gotta say. This is just a minor problem, and I understand that it is to make the dungeon more immersive to players. The biggest problem of this, is that some important places are completely hidden away from the players, making them unable to advance the quest further. I assume I'm not the only one who got stuck after acquiring the supply key. Knowing that the key can open none of the doors in the dungeon, I thought I had gotten into some kind of nasty bug, until later I learned that I was suppose to jump to a platform, which I previously thought was unreachable, and the locked chest is completely hidden in the dark. So without jumping to the platform, you will never know of the existence of such chest, and like I mentioned before, I didn't even know the platform is reachable at all! This is an example of bad level design, if you want players to find the chest, at least give some directions or indications of the chest whereabouts. Having to jump to a pitch black corner to finally discover the chest only gives me a feeling of WTF instead of fun.
    Also, the doors aren't named properly. If there is a key called trainer's key, I would expect there to be a trainer's room and the door would be called "door to trainer's room" or some sort. Instead, all the doors are just "door", it kinda makes the dungeon more confusing to explore, but this is just a minor flaw, so isn't really a problem.

    Another problem about this quest is the enemies. Really have to admit this quest is challenging because of the toughness of enemies - they can easily knock you out. Bunch of archers constantly shooting arrows at you and half of their shots can knock you out, and then there are these warriors with a claymore, who rush and slash you while you are getting up, the battle mage then shoot magic and your various skill points are drained........ It's not hard to deal with 1 at a time, but a BUNCH at a time? So while you are lying on the ground, trying to get up, your enemies have already rushed to you, attacking you. You can't do anything in this brief moment of vulnerability....... Just picture this, yes, it's a gang bang. (I'm using a female character lol) I'm not saying that making the enemies tough is a bad thing, what's the fun without challenge? So, it was kinda fun at first, just needed some patience and there we go. But then as I advance further, I found that there were just too many of them, and I grew tired of fighting the same bunch of tough fighters every time I stumbled across a new area. (Not to mention they respawn lol) Tough fight is good, but it doesn't have to be that much. It slows down the quest progress, and makes the player feel bored after these many fights. I was annoyed that I had to spend like 10 to 20 mins every time I got into these fights, got raped so hard, just to progress deeper, and engage into another of these fights. This completely ruins the fun of fighting them. The last battle is hard as shit. Honestly, I do think that the creature is a bit overpowered. I don't consider dropping items while fighting a fun thing. In times, it really gets frustrating and that thing can quite often knock you out, just like the others do. Apart from this, it's an okay fight. I found that I had to constantly drink potions in order to survive, which had never happened to me during the main game. lol Fortunately the guards carry many strong potions, consider that a reward for getting through all their troubles. This is what I call a challenge, so this part is alright.

    Overall, this quest is okay. Some parts are really poorly designed, but it's still playable. Although it isn't impossible to get through this with a low level character, I strongly recommend starting this quest only when your character is good enough. I suppose it won't be that hard for a high level character. If you are determined to try it on low level, just like I did lol, then expect this quest to be a pain in the ass to finish. (And honestly I don't think this quest is worth to complete lol)

    I will try out other quests later, shouldn't be that hard compare to this.

    oh forgot to mention. I don't know if this is the mod's problem but quite often when I save in the cave, a CTD occurs, corrupting my save games. So if anyone is attempting the quest, remember to make at least 3 new saves so your original saves won't get messed.

    I need some help before I lose my mind. Ease fred's mind quest is a pain in the ass, i can't find this bear and it's damn near impossible to find anything with this life detect spell, anyone able to give me direction that actually helps?
