I played through Arena. Yes, it was harder you could die easier, way more challenging .. and you werent lead around on a leash. Daggerfall was even better, but consistantly crashed all the time, couldn't finish that one. I have both of them on disk. You'll need dosbox to play arena. I think they did sacrifice intense game play for pretty graphics....I love the graphics, but they've lost some of the spirit in Oblivion. Like, I might die in this dungeon. Your character could get a disease in the dungeon and die there and you'd have to start another one. the first time i finished Oblivion I was asking myself, is that it?? Anyways, yes Arena was harder. Good post... the ELder Scrolls rule!!!!
I'm not commenting on this file as there is no need, i fully understand what you have said in the description and tomorow im going to start playing this game laggy or not, you have enspired me now, alot, the question you have asked us is a yes from me, im not sure about anyone else, and im proberly the first person to download this, why? because i love fallout 3 and i love lotr conquest but i also love the old games, but i havent found ANY other videos on this game! i downloaded it but im supposed to be in bed now and im taking my time and thinking carefully what to put here, i will rate this sooner or later once i have had a go at the game, dont forget people, when this game came out, this was popular, this was THE game, they thought this was the best they were going to get! i hope you people who look at this, and read what i say take heed and attempt this game, not just rate by a first look at the graphics and say "oh this is crap im deleting it and rating 0"

this isnt called TESIV: oblivion: arena
its called TES 1: Arena
it was made b4 oblivion.
hence,
tes 1: Arena
tes 2: Daggerfall
tes 3: Morrowind
tes 4: Oblivion
same SERIES of games. not same GAME
just thought id clear up some confusion
been playing it forabout 8 months and still aint completed LOL
The game you are talking about is just called TES : Arena.
Oblivion is the fourth game, that's why it is called TES4 : Oblivion.
