THE INQUISITOR'S LODGE

:Description:

This mod adds a new home for you in Sheogorath's Palace Courtyard, available after completing the quests [Addiction] and [The Lady of Paranoia]. (Works for all Shivering Isles savegames)

:To Play:

Complete the 2 quests - [Addiction] and [The Lady of Paranoia] to receive a key to the lodge. Simply enter the lodge, located to the right of the Palace on the first floor of the courtyard.
A quest update will prompt you to visit [Common Treasures] in Bliss and [Things Found] in Dementia to purchase various furnishings.
There are 2 additional rooms available as soon as you can begin the quest [Retaking the Fringe]. When you have all the furnishings and the additional rooms, the quest is completed.


:Special Features:

The Inquisitor's Lodge consists of 3 rooms (or cells), but 5 areas, each with purchaseable furnishings.

The Central Chamber
-A sleeping area
-7 buyable trophy altars. Each one can be activated to store an artifact or reward item specific to the Shivering Isles.
-The Mirror Of Illusions. A multi purpose basin. (Read the receipt you bought or see the spoiler at the end of the readme)
The Mania Area
-A fish tank
-An alchemy ingredient sorter that covers all Ingredients except quest specific ones ie- Nirnroot
-Seating, storage and shelving. Includes display cases.
The Dementia Area
-A storage room with activateable flame. (Reacts with magic - fire to turn on, frost to turn off)
-A seating area
-Either a male or female servant (chosen upon purchase) who can cook and serve food and drinks, entertain and clean.
+The Hall of Muses
-The Bathroom. Features more storage and shelving, a basin with activatable water (a scalon statue head).
-A pool area that not only heals anyone swimming, but can also give blessings when either a frost, fire or void salt is dropped into it. (A guide is available on the table).
-A toilet designed by Kalikut and Pekka.
+The Deepwell
-A forge area and training centre. Can summon up to 9 different creatures from the Isles (only 4 may exist at any 1 time) by burning a corresponding ingredient into the flame.
These creatures will attack each other and the player when provoked.
-A Fortify Armorer ability is availble for the player when they are near to the central flame.
-An additional cleaning Button rids you of any summoned creature. (A guide is available in the centre of the room)

A name change of the [Inquisitor's Lodge] is purchaseable after completing the main Shivering Isle quest from Ahjazda.

2 customizable paintings are available. By default, they are a glass texture. See below for customizing these paintings.


:Installation:

Simply extract to your Data folder like any other mod.

:Uninstallation:

delete the esp exhsipalacelodge

Delete the following files
In your mesh files:
exhpalace
pek (inside the furniture file)
knick knacks

In your texture file
exhpalace
knickknack
pek (inside the furniture file)


:Requirements and Recommendations:

A decent computer as there are quite a few detailed rooms and areas + more scripts than you can poke a stick at.

:Customizing Paintings:
This is an easy process but for non-modders and such, it could be a little tricky.

First, you need to have a square image of size 256 or 512 (preferably). THe edges will most likely be covered up by the painting frame.
You need a dds converter for this to work. I use this dds converter - http://eliteforce2.filefront.com/file/DDS_Converter;29412 but if you have Photoshop with a dds plugin, go and use that.
Follow the setup here - http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/GIMP:_Quality_Normal_Maps but you can ignore the steps for normal maps.
When you have a .dds image, simply replace either custompainting1.dds or custompainting2.dds in the exhpalace texture file.
Your image should have replaced the glass texture in game.

:Conflicts and Notices:

None specifically but if there are mods that directly influence the ID or script of certain weapons and armor that the Trophy Altars use, there may be issues.
Other objects such as ingredients that have been altered may affect the mod. These are mainly SI ingredients that are related to creatures ie- Hound Tooth, Smoked Baliwog Leg, etc
Mods that add new ID soulgems can't be stored by the Soulgem extracter. You need to manually put these in.

*This mod uses optimized scripting. Certain scripts will not run if you did not enter the Shivering Isles by the Island door.
(You can use the console to bypass this if you are simply testing this mod. Just type- setplayerinSEworld 1 and the scripts will work. If you do this, it is unrecommended to save your game.)

The servants have a daily routine, however, they need certain furnishings to carry them out. If you dont have the furnishings, they will just stand around.

This mod was made with the CS, Nifskope, GIMP and Wings3D and has been in production since January 2008.
