um... why? For 1 thing, if you wipe out a bandit camp, so kill 3 bandits, you would wind up with at least 10 lockpicks anyway. Secondly, merchants DO sell lockpicks, because I've bought lockpicks from Slash N Smash. Thirdly, loot a dungeon, you will end up with 30 lockpicks on AVERAGE. So there is no point in this mod.
I rate this file a 10. You can find lockpicks in sets of 30 from the khajit in the cheydinhal sanctuary, but this makes it much more convenient to find them.
The shady dealer sells lockpicks to anyone. He's found along the outside wall to the Imperial City. Just run around the outside... he's hiding in a sort-of niche, not far from the stables.
Yeah, you can buy lockpicks if you're not in the thieves guild and also not from the Thieves Den mod either. The merchants a shady character (rightfully so!) and doesn't seem to wander. Not to mention that you can buy 'em 24/7! Look around.......he's a loner.
The author is wrong. Lockpicks are available for characters not in the Thieves guild. The vendor is just hard to find. Honest merchants don't sell lockpicks, so they're not supposed to be easy to find.
