Why do certain NPCs still use player's animations? The Drothmeri soldiers for example. I thought their faction is related to the player's so they share animations but nope, and I can't figure it out. Dunbarrow Pirates too but I assume they share the same faction with player although I haven't checked it. Any ideas?

If your npc is still doing the same animation as you do even after trying all kinds of tweak and loading the esp to the last. There is a way I found and it requires you to use batch patch(which you should be using if you are modding) This worked for me even with DMC animation or Deadly reflex not sure with unnecessary violence or other mods alike but should work nonetheless.
    1)rebuild your batch patch
2)look for tweak actors on the left column
3)Look for the option "Mayu's Animation Overhaul Skeleton Tweaker [All NPCs] and tick it
4)rebuild patch and your done :)

Okay, so whenever I activate this mod's esp, and try to load a save, it immediately crashes. Does anyone know how to fix that?

For anyone still struggling, years later...using MO install a maximum compatibility skeleton to the mod within the MO folder, not the main game folder. PM me if anyone needs any help using this mod with MO

Sorry, my english is awful, but i need to ask. I have a small problem: this plugin have conflict with ANY plugin that changes NPC inventory (it just make inventory default) - is this normal? And if not - is there any way, to avoid this conflict?

This mod works fine. Animations for the player and NPCs are handled separately, as it should. Sometimes a little tweak is needed, like replacing the skeleton for the NPCs if needed (like with BBB, for example). BUT, this mod seems to have a conflict with Oblivion Character Overhaul v2. With this mod enabled, most of the faces look odd, shrinked or distorded. Since this mod must be placed last in the order list, I can't fix this problem, because if I put OCOv2 after MAO, almost all NPCs share the same animations as the player (although their faces are fixed). It's a shame, the idea was good but if I have to choose between OCOv2 and MAO, I prefer to keep OCOv2 and remove MAO

You need Wrye Bash (Bashed Patch) to make mods that both modify NPCs compatible with each other.

How do I make this mod work, exactly? I installed this, and then an animation mod for one-handed weapons, and NPC's and Daedra (the warriors) still have the new animation. Do I put the new animation mod into the Mayu folder or what? Please help, thanks a bunch

You would put the new animation files into the data/meshes/characters/_male (off of my memory, it might be different) or just use Wrye Bash to install it. Leave the vanilla animation files as it is for this mod so the NPCs use the vanilla animation (that's how this mod work) unless you are also using BBB animation in which case you have to install the special skeleton to both folders to avoid meshes stretching to infinity. If you still have problem feel free to message me and I'll help as best as I can. If you already figured out how to make it work, that's fine too.

Is there any way i can use this on a "gender-only" way? I mean, i want the females on the game to look more, well, female, but i dont want every male in the game to shake their butts ... Is there any way to use an animation on a single gender instead of a single character?
