This worked fine for a while; until now out of nowhere battle music doesn't start even when im exchanging hits with an enemy, but it works without it

Great, but causes very annoying stuttering for me. Has anyone else had this issue? Perhaps it is just the way I am set up.

Nope, it's not you. I experience it also with this mod installed. The dll must be making some pretty heavy calls to the CPU. Understandable, since this mod is still in beta. It might affect older machines (such as mine) considerably more than new ones.

Try the updated version Enhanced Music Control 2.
Also, I can assure it doesn't make any heavy call to the CPU, but the stutters problem are caused by bad music files, bad codecs or a bad sound card. Also, remember to clean all tags from the music files.

I've added support for EMC to my upcoming mod, but I have a question for HawkleyFox. What's the "correct" way to revert the playlist for a given music type back to default if -- and ONLY if -- it is *my* mod that overrode that particular playlist? I have the revert working when the player enters an interior cell not owned by my mod, but I fear I may interfere with other mods that try to override for their own cells.

HawkleyFox is not working on this mod anymore.

Do you mean that, when you set a playlist in one of default/public/dungeon, you want to block any other mod from changing it?
If that's the problem, then no. There's nothing you can do, apart from using "emcIsPlaylistActive" to check if your playlist is still active or if it has been replaces, and eventually reactivate it. But if the other mod do the same, this could cause an endless swap in both mods. And if you think about the EMC's instability...

Anyway, if it's not a secret, what's your upcoming mod?
I ask because of a little EMC mod I've already created and I could release it anytime.

FYI, Oblivion runs just fine in Win7 x64 without admin privileges. When installing, do NOT let it take the default directory. Instead, put it in your user directory, e.g., "C:/Users/MYUSERNAME/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion/".

Confirmed it works on win 7x64 with OBSE v0021.
I tested for two hours starting fights and traveling across load zones. My suggestions to others. Install this download dll to DataOBSEplugins. Make sure your starting your oblivion by launching obse_loader.exe (wyre bash Oblivion icon does this automatically). If your not using that or a shortcut to it, then your oblivion is not lauching with any OBSE enabled. Since Oblivion was released during windows xp era, it may not signal windows 7 with the proper elevated flags due to those changes introduced vista-onward, so ive set Oblivion and OBSE loader to run as administrator. (right click>properties>compatibility>run this as adminstrator) Running in compatibilty mode for xp is unnecessary.

This is wonderful, I'm not even interested in betterMusicSystem anymore since this resume/pause in/out combat feature is exactly what i was looking for! FYI, the threshold seems to be ~10 seconds, after which a new track may be selected at the next in/out combat switch. Even so, this is SO MUCH BETTER than the vanilla GetNextTrack feature

Works perfectly fine for me, other than normal music playing over the tavern music with Sounds of Cyrodill.

Edit: Crashes when using the mod Valenwood Improved.

How must i install this one?
It has a command list and a .dll
.dll in the OBSE plugin folder and the other?
In the data? In the OBSE plugins?
After setting the files on there place is there someting else i must do?
Can i place my own music?
Is it still working with OBSE 20+?
Will it work together with: Sounds of Cyrodiil Cliffworms v11 and a louder nirnrood sound?

      Can you help me?
      Thanks.

To anyone experiencing the CTD's on load, i had them too, tried the fix running obse-loader in xp3 compatibility mode, this worked, but what i tried after that is run obse-loader as an administrator, and this also works for me, so that may be an alternative to comp. mode if you like

doesnt work for me. period. i type in
    emcCreatePlaylist "Music" "Data/Music/Music/"
just to test it out, and get this as a return
    emcCreatePlaylist: playlist failed to initialize

what the hell do the command guides mean anyways? why not just say "this goes here" in a normal way, like
    emcCreatePlaylist [nameofplaylist] ["Data/MusicFolder"]
    ?????????????????????????????????

I don't suppose anyone could point me in the right direction; I'm trying to play through the Heart of the Dead, but I'm in the third dungeon, and EMC keeps switching my music to my Explore tracks. The weird thing, is I went from the Hub (explore) to the first of the Dragon Trials (Switched back to Dungeon), to the Dragon Temple (switched back to explore). It's really immersion killing, so I was wondering if there was a console command I could use to force it to play the appropriate music. I'm unplugging it for now (Which maintains the dungeon tracks), but it's amazing how easily you miss the fade in/out that it gives you. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
