A very good companion mod and it is so small too. I wish I had not started the horse thing however. Gabrielle is seldom able to cope with horseback riding and constantly warps alongside my horse pushing it sideways. The horse is always following her though, and gets in the strangest places. It parks on the steps outside the house door and it is hard for me to get past it. It follows us onto porches and cliffs. It is sometimes hilarious. It fell off the embankment into the water outside Bravil and managed to get up on the walkway of the shanty town mod there. Sometimes it twitches all over. It is pretty entertaining actually. It is hard not to think of it as 'poor ol' Booby".
Gabrielle is great and I thank you for sharing her with us. Even the horse is pretty entertaining. There is a really funny mod possibility with that horse.
She was a great companion, that was up until I left her in my house, while i did some thief guild missions. Upon coming home 2 hours later she is nowhere now to be found. I'd left here there because ironically, her lack of a real mark and warp to spot, as well as lack of mark at home spot made me afraid to lose her. Any ideas how i can re-find her because I'm actually pretty deep now and i really want to get her back.
Wow, she is most likley the best companion mod there is. She is simple, well managed, and the companion share is awsome for giving her the weapons I want her to have.
I have always wanted to endorse this companion Gabrielle since long time but always failed to do so because it says I haven't downloaded it. This is the non-complicated companion mod, easy to use and very helpful. She knows when to fight using missile and when to charges in using melee.
BTW for n1g2t3s4, yes I also experienced the same.
When I load this mod, all my spells get duplicated. At least those spells you receive for free for picking certain magic schools as major skills. Shocking Touch, for example. When I turn off this mod, the duplicate listing is removed from my Spells page.
Anyone encounter this or know of a workaround?
It doesn't seem to affect anything, but just looks messy.
Specifically, it happens after the class selection menu if you pick any magic school as a major skill. If I turn off the companion mod, those duplicated spells go away. I've also found that if I turn off the mod before the class selection screen and make my class selection, then turn the mod back on, there are no duplicated spells.
I have to say, Aridale, congrats on making the only companion mod that i find worthwhile, apart from Sonia. I waould say that the main annoyances are her constant warping, and also difficulty levelling up. apart from that she does exactly what i expected from her, so I'd have to say that a simple companion who will fight till she gets knocked out, carry my stuff without complaining, and wear what I give her, is definitely what the game still needs.
If i wanted a quest then I'd download a quest, not a companion. Good work, and even if you leave Gabrielle as she is, i'll still use her cos she beats the other mods even with a couple of bugs.
(ps, if she ever stops moving for you, then I've found that accesing her inventory via dialogue fixes most issues)
Well this Mod sounds good. One problem though, She doesn't have a crown and when I get to the beach side of the waterfront she is fighting with everyone there and gets killed before I can get to her.
Any plans to make her respawn or give the the crown feature? or is she supposed to have the crown but somehow the mod got messed on my computer?
I'm having problems seeing Gabby! I've copied the .esm and .esp files but I can't seem to find her at the Water District. Are there supposed to me meshes and textures that come with the download?
