Shivering Isles
Features:
-Configurable immersive saving and loading. Set the frequency of autosaves and backup saves and optionally disable quicksaving
-Mysterious afterlife zone based on TES lore and storyline I’ve not yet implemented
-New creature-NPC’s untouched by the scourge that is amateur voice-acting
-Resurrect where you died and lose half your gold or resurrect at a safe zone for a quarter of your gold.
Do you fear death? No? Of course you don’t. That’s because every time your character is killed you can just manipulate the folds of space-time and “quickload” to your heart’s content. Need to kill that mob of ancient bloodthirsty vampires? Need to steal that prized artifact without getting caught? It’s really only a matter of trial and error through different timelines using Save/Load.
You’re like Nicholas Cage in that awful movie Next. Do you want to spend the entire game trapped in a movie about Nicholas Cage’s hair with bad dialogue except you never get to sleep with Jessica Biel? Me neither.
This mod forces your character to stick to a single timeline by (Optionally) eliminating voluntary saves and loads and changing the way death is handled. When you die you are teleported to a purgatory where must complete a dialogue quest. When that is complete you gain the ability to be resurrected.
You may respawn either exactly where you died (costs 50% of your gold) or at a safe zone whose location depends on how far you are through the main quest (costs 25% of your gold)
