I have a speed problem with these beasts - they become too fast when I ask them to join me. Horses have normal speed if I just ride them and don't activate CM menu, but if they join me as companions they have the same problem. Can this be solved somehow ?.. I have the latest version of CM Partners (2.0). And another question: can horses' following distance be increased a bit ? They push me with their heads every time I stop running or walking.
UPD: Got another bug. If I have more than one beast following at the same time, they stop following me one by one without any command.
Sorry, Favle, but I haven't played Oblivion in years and I don't remember anything about it. I don't remember having problems with this mod (I used it) but I cannot help you.
Maybe the version of CM partners that I was using was different (older) from the one that is available now, who knows!
Love this mod. I gets a leopard!I really like all the tame wildlife wandering around the garden and cemetery areas of Imperial City.
The unicorn is rideable, but various horse mods don't work on it, like Horse Master (just do SetOwnership in the Console instead). Horse Commands did work. I have not yet tried any of the overhauls of the vanilla DLC Horse Armor (there's one that claims to be compatible will all horses; we'll see).
Have you treat it them well, Brief? I really don't remember how the companions system worked in CM, too many years ago. You should try at that mod (CM partners), read what it dows and how. That never happened to me when I was playing Oblivion, though
I downloaded this mod and am impressed with it, however, I seem to be having trouble with the cats. Only the heads, paws and tails show up, and said parts are also purple. Any help would be wonderful.
Vigilante, in Oblivion you had to set up the ArchiveInvalidation for mods to work properly. I don't remember if you could set that in the OBMM (it was a long time ago when I was playing Oblivion), if not, you can use this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/10724/? to set it.
Mmm, then no idea what is causing you that. Try deactivating all other mods, make sure Oblivion is updated to the latest official patch and keep the Archive Invalidation.
It's been a long time since I played Oblivion for the last time (more than two years, maybe three!) so I don't remember all the details and there is a possibility that the latest versions of CM partners have new functionalities that I don't know.
I do remember that your partners could become hostile if you did something that they didn't like. That was something incorporated into the CM partners basic mod. I don't remember if there was an option of the CM partners basic mod that prevented this.
Again, the rings and map markers are also funcionalities of the CM partners basic mod. The best thing you can do is to read the documentation of that mod and see what Blackie says about these.
I love this mod because the animals are all so cute (and really well done!), and I have have very few problems with getting them to fight for me and follow me. It's also awesome that you can ride the two horses. However, I do have a couple issues. I'm not sure if they're bugs or just my own fault somehow. I have the latest version of CM Partners Mod Basic.
1) My companions occasionally become hostile to me. I've only had this issue twice. Once, it was right after I picked an "illegal" lock and the second was right after stealing an item. Not sure if they could be reacting to my lawbreaking?
2) No map markers display even with the "Partners" quest active. Does anyone else have this problem?
Also, CM Partners includes rings to keep your party together, but I can't seem to get them to work for these beast companions.
I am talking by memory, because it was more than two years ago, but i think there existed a mod that allowed you to turn any creature into a rideable one. Its name was something like "Rideable creatures project". I don't remember if it was here, on Nexus, or anywhere else. Try first searching for it here, and if it doesn't find anything, try google
Is there away to make Shear khan Bagera, Greywolf, Kazan, and Ghost ride able. I've tried to experiment with this. but the result is always the player falls through the model when walking with the lion skeleton. An with the wolf Skeleton while walking player falls through Object and model goes nowhere.
On a side note, I wish someone would make a lion pet! with the mane and everything aside from being my favorite animal it would go great with my blond long haired Nord haha, think I'll download this and use the polar bear for my dwarf xD

player.getav speed
Now click the beast in question in the console to get its ID, and:
XXXXXXX.setav speed YY
where XXXXXXXX is the ID, and YY is your speed. Do it periodically as your speed increases.

Open the Console and click the beast in question, then do:
GetDisposition player
to find out what its disposition is. After that you can do:
ModDisposition player 100
or whatever you like.
You can also do:
SetOwnership
That will make it never attack you and have a permanent Dispo of 100.
Hope this helps
