i accidentaly installed when i had the eye night turned on... so now eye night will never go off... please help... ive tried loading the game without the mod too and it still wont work???
Yeah, did the same thing. The only thing you can do is reload a save before you installed the mod and make sure it's off first. Fortunately I noticed this fairly early on, but there really should be a warning.
I mean, it isn't even considered a spell effect, so the console can't do anything about the shader being permanently on.
So I also had the problem of Night-Eye being stuck on, and went through many iterations of trying to fix it (as well as edits to this post as I hit dead-ends and bad ideas). I think the original problem was accidentally having both versions of the mod installed, so one would turn the effect off and the other on again whenever I used the ability. Disabling one of the mods fixed this, but by the time I discovered the root problem I'd gotten it stuck on even without the effect showing in the "active effects" list, and many hours past the last non-bugged save.
I did eventually figure out how to fix it using PC console commands if you have night-eye stuck on even without it showing in active effects:
First, deactivate Eye of Night and check that this console command returns a value more than zero (it should be 1.00).player.getav NightEyeBonus Activate Eye of Night ability. NightEyeBonus value should now be 2.00.
Run the console commandplayer.setav NightEyeBonus 1 Deactivate Eye of Night
I rarely comment on mods. I have used this mod for many years. This is my favorite Khajiit mod. It did not make sense to me that this would be an intermittent power. Either the Khajiit's eyes can adjust to the darker areas or they cannot. I could see, if it were added, a short period of time making the adjustment, rather than instant. That might make sense; but, only sometimes being able to adjust to the different light levels just seems wrong. Nice mod, thanks.

Every time I've read "advice" on what race to choose in Oblivion, I keep on reading how terribly underpowered Khajiit are. Sure Argonians are immune to poison and Bretons have 50% magic resistance, but what good do any of those things do if you can't see anything? And being able to dodge-roll and block with your bare paws very early on and with minimum effort just makes this race overpowered. This mod just makes Khajiit overkill. What were you thinking?!
I know! Without those few extra seconds of being pummeled in complete darkness, I would just punch the other guy to death without ever getting hit or trying very hard!
This is an elegant mod for any Khajiit fan, as most have commented. My meaning is that it's VERY simple yet epic in it's own right - the fact that you added the optional no cast effect ESP... BRILLIANT!! Great work my man!! 10/10 A++
