Thankyou TLH. It's true we get better with practice. For normal maps I use scales as follows found by trial and error. More or less plain clothes like Tanduff, scale 2.5, any higher and they are getting real ugly (too dark and vivid alternately in texture pattern). Patterned clothes like in DD (this mod), scale 4. Body textures, scale 1 (not much higher) or they too are starting to get ugly in places (like a skin ailment here and there or even all over). Normal maps are almost always the same size as the texture. Many will disagree with my preferences no doubt, but these are the settings I arrived at, being what I found to look nicest. For textures, probably wastefully, I have always used DXT5 when DXT3 might have worked just as well but I never got around to comparing. Apparently, DXT5 uses twice the memory when decompressed contributing to stutter while going into memory although the disk size is the same as DXT3. The type of meshes used in both mod's cannot use DXT1 which puts the least demand on the PC, a quarter of DXT5.
I do use OBMM now but I have a load of mods I installed before using it, I simply have far to many mods to make the time for converting all of them and/or removing & re installing them. AFAIK BSA does not need the packing & unpacking (or adding & deleting) using a script.
I forgot to mention that you can mix and match this mod contents with the first mod "UFF-Original-Clothing" found here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14774 and I think it will be possible to an extent when UFFBAB comes along soon. Anyway, there's tons of room for experimentation.
Looks really nice, damn! I wish more modders possesed the skills/knowledge to pack their mod in a BSA archive format.
It is so annoying when you try and delete a mod you installed ages ago & find you have missed part of it or deleted some files that are also by another mod.
I will rate when I get a chance to try it, full marks for using BSA though!.
