This would both defeat the point and charm of atronach birthsign and make other birhsigns worse by comparison. Aprentice or reduced aprentice (50 magica weakness as was in morrowind and is in many birthsign fix mods here) serves this purpose better. also the elemental weakness is neglible when you consider the spell absorbation. (also dont forget how easy it actualy is to obtain another 50 pts in game) sorry for such a long and rambly comment but i realy felt this needs to be said.
Part of the fun of being an Atronach was making sure to not always dodge the spells (( and the spelldrinker amulet made it VITAL to not dodge enemy spells XD )) If you're careful you can get more magicka then you spend by absorbing the spells, and healing yourself.
The fact that you have stunted magicka is the entire point of the Atronach birthsign. There are plenty of documented ways of using the birthsign to your advantage, so I really don't see why you'd want to do this, especially since gaining bonus magicka with a weakness to magicka in return is exactly what the Apprentice is for.
There are birthsigns that need improvement from the standard set, but those are things like the Lord or the Tower, not the Atronach.
As much as I dislike the stunted magicka, it would make a character just too powerful without it. And the magic weakness would ultimately defeat the purpose of the spell absorbtion.

hell its a great heal even at the higher levels
