It's an alright mod. I do like the concept, and in theory it seems like a good idea, but it falls a bit short in practice. Finding all the notes and keys wasn't difficult, but I didn't exactly have fun doing it. The dialogue in all the notes doesn't feel like it belongs in Oblivion, especially with all the exclamation marks. The house you get at the end of it isn't that spectacular. The interior feels half-finished, and the counter in the hall near the stairs literally lacks two walls to close it up. You also can't sleep in the bed, and the whole cult order plotline goes nowhere.
I do applaud what you were trying to do though. I liked following the notes from place to place, though the novelty of it did wear off quickly. I would have loved to learn more about the cult, and get more than just some renamed and enchanted clothing from the game.
I know I know I'm late to this mod. I agree about the spelling unless it's in character. But that minor point covered I truly enjoyed this quest and I want more. I want the answer to the "Skull of the true heretic", "the collar of obeyance", and "Burning Heart". And, I really want to find out about this new order. Is there a follow on mod to this?
I can't seem to find where to go from here. I found the pamphlet and the note on the ground about Isiak on the roof. I went to talk to Bogrum and he didn't say anything, although he is now wearing necromancer's robes. The house for sale is still the house for sale. Where the heck do I go from here?!?!?
EDIT: Okay, I found a book and a sword related to the quest in the IC, but I still can't figure out where to go from here.
alright the mod is a great idea but there are some issues that would prevent people from playing it. 1. Cardinal modding rule, spelling must be perfect. 2. Clues are to general. I major in criminal justice and there is no way to make a case out of this guy Isiak. Try to make everything more specific. Most modders don't have time to search all over the world for clues. Keep them confined and simple, but make the player think. 3. I'm a modding fiend and can tell that this is more of a testing mod for you. Here's some advice. All mysteries have a valid begining, a back story. Why would a world hero spend time on finding Isiak when he/she just stopped an oblivion invasion. Put more effort into your work, it's better to have too much rather than too little.
Other than that the mod is a great idea, but why not just take it to the next level. Have you ever played Dragon Invasion mod. It was the most simple mod ever, but man was it fun.
OK, I'm just a mornon trying to make it to idiot, but I can't find anything about this missing guy! And my house is still there in Bravil. What the heck am I missing?
This mod has a nasty tendency to crash my game every time I move some 30 feet in an exterior cell. OBMM says the only "Red" conflict is with OOO, but that's only a single NPC.
Not rating, because it's quite likely just me, but something to keep in mind nonetheless.
This is very nice. Makes you work for your loot. The only suggestion I would have is maybe to have a quest indicator at the beginning and one at the end. Finding the house is the end... right?
Just started to search Bravil for clues and found With this mod activated the house for sale in Bravil disappears leaving doors and chair in mid air. Switch it off and the house is back??
