What does it do?
================
Gives you a unique scripted weapon called Phased Blade.
It is meant for mages who find themselves fighting in close quarters, or spellswords looking for interesting ways to use their magicka.

When you equip the blade and bring it out in combat, it will start depleting your magicka, depending on your conjuration and mysticism skill levels.
When you strike at an opponent, the blade will do damage depending on your destruction skill level. Occasionally, the blade will deplete both your magicka and the magicka of your opponent to do a large amount of damage and knock back the opponent. You will improve your destruction skill when you strike an enemy with this weapon.
When you kill something with this weapon, it will use the soul of the slain to regenerate some of your magicka.
If you are without a shield and defend with this weapon, you will regenerate health depending on your restoration skill. I thought about having the sword increasing your armor depending on your alteration skill, but most people tend to cast shield spells before combat and thus it would be redundant.
However, if you ever run very low on magicka, the blade will deactivate and leave you defenseless. Thus, you must be careful how you use its power.


Notes:
This weapon will not work against you (so don't worry about spell reflection), your current horse, or any essential characters.
As the blade powered by magicka, it will self repair as long as it is drawing magicka from you.

Installation
============
1. Uncompress the files to your "Oblivion\Data" directory
2. Activate Kaozu PhasedWeapons.esp in your mod manager
3. Play Oblivion* and wait for the weapon to be added to your inventory (It may take a few seconds, feel free to walk around until it is added.)
*I forgot to mention this earlier, but you must have OBSE installed for the scripts to run correctly.


Conflict Potential
==================
In order for me to use a custom shader on the weapon, I had to modify an unused magic effect. I used darkness, since I don?t think any mods actually use that effect. However, if you have a mod that replaces the darkness effect, the weapon shader will not work, although you can still see it if you drop it on the ground.
