Version Updates:

2.5-3.0 >No need for them, everything was rewriten.

3.0-3.25 > Following changes and fixes:

+ Fixed the lvl 6 lightshield crash, it is now toggable so now you can wander in daylight as much as you want but your magika will get completely drained for the duration of the effect.

+ Shade Vision is now toggable aswell.

+ Almost all powers now have 50+ magika requeriments, increasing the difficulties when having (lightshield/embrace of shadows/wings of darkness) enabled.

+ The dragon slayer is now a summonable weapon, just like wings of darkness, and needs you to be in your vampire form in the mean time.

+ From stage 5 onwards, being in your vampire form duplicates sun damage.

+ Being in your real vampire form will bypass the lightshield effect and cause 50% of the normal damage.

+ Absolute Darkness now damages the enemy and not yourself.

+ Added mass destruction to Stage 8 spell powers list, mass destruction is a powerful attack that slowly aweakens the enemies within an area to the point they lose the ability to move once their strengh and endurance are close to 0.

General Description:

Vampirism Overhaul 3 is a mod that completely changes vampirism to something more varied fun, beautiful and more varied. Tired of not being able to be a vampire without the ugly faces? this mod is for you (Eventually, you will have to work your ass / cheat first). In a nutshell the mod makes vampirism a nocturnal feeding and survival experience, yet flexible enough to allow you to do any quest with some practice and good use of your abilities.

How to Install:

-Place all the provided files in the data folder.
-Get Vampirism, if you are a vampire already, it will update automatically to the new version. If you cured yourself from vampirism, dont worry, I disabled the function that prevents you from getting vampirism again.

Adquiring Vampirism and starting the Cycle:

You will still have to catch the vampire desease and wait 3 days somehow, just like the vanilla Oblivion. However there is an other requeriment to become a true vampire and that is going through the first Vampire stage, which represents a gradual transformation into a vampire. In theory you will be a vampire, you even gain some habilities (more info on Stages section) and the sun starts to affect you, however you wont be able to feed at all until you reach the next stage.

Feeding as a Vampire

Once you get your fangs feeding becomes an important gameplay element, in average its recommended to feed 3 times a day, feeding once works aswell however, your hunger stages will appear sooner if you dont feed more than twice a day.

Every time you feed is counted by a spell, thats important becouse its a requeriment for stage advancement, it also counts how many times you have fed that day, meaning that only 3 daily feeds are counted.

On the other hand, if you dont feed frequently the vampire starving stages will show up, making you significantly weaker and slower, there are 5 starving levels in total, and its best to have none and never get to the 5th.

The Vampire Life Cycle

Vampires grow more powerful as time passes, this mod contains 8 stages of Vampirism, the more you advance the stronger you get, but also your sun weakness increases slowly aswell. Every stage has its own special skill added to the ones you got before, those vary from invisibility to the hability to deflect sunlight.

However, every stage has its own requeriments, they require you to be of a certain level, having higher than the specified daycount and a healthy vampire diet ;P. If you meet those requeriments you will instantly advance to the next stage, take in mind however, this is a very slow process that will take 74 or more overall vampire days to complete, so the path to the last and most powerful stage is quite long (If you just got pissed for this, dont worry, I made it tweakable ^_^ ).

The Vampire Stages

Stage 1 - Hybrid Vampire
Situation - Not yet a Vampire
Vampire Appereance - Not vampire looking.
Required Level = 0
Required Vampire Day Count = 0
Required Vampire Feed Count = 0

Skills Gained

- Dark Breeze: Paralyze your foes for an instant,also deals significant damage.
- Check Vampire Stats: Shows all the information you need.

This Vampire Stage is the stage of transformation, you get weakness to sun and some resitances but you can't feed at all, fighting against the upcoming starvation can be quite a challenge. This is the shortest stage of all eitherway.

Stage 2 - Common Vampire
Situation - Newborn
Vampire Appereance - Young looking vampire.
Required Level = 5
Required Vampire Day Count = 4
Required Vampire Feed Count = 0

Skills Gained (added to the ones you got before)

- Shadow Vision: Use your vampiric eyes to see in the dark and smell your stinky foes... Well, you can also smell the sweet taste of a hot chick's blood.

Feeding becomes the main gameplay element from now on, so make sure to stab your fangs into something as soon as posible since by now you should have a starving lvl of 4, and thats not good at all.

Stage 3 - Night Stalker
Situation - Experienced Hunter
Vampire Apereance - Young looking vampire.
Required Level = 7
Required Vampire Day Count = 10
Required Vampire Feed Count = 12

Skills Gained (added to the ones you got before)

- Charming Scent: Trick innocent people and make them give you what you want!

- Humanoid/Creature control: Whats the point of tricking if you can brainwash your enemy? well, you can't get info out of them but they surely make good servants and last minute companions.

Now that you are used to your feeding rutine you are an experienced vampire, from here on you can manipulate the lesser's minds easily.

Stage 4 - Shadow Hunter
Situation - Banned from Society
Vampire Apereance - Old and ugly vampire.
Required Level = 10
Required Vampire Day Count = 18
Required Vampire Feed Count = 28

Skills Gained (added to the ones you got before)

- Light shield: Yes! no more running away from the sun! your worst enemy lies defeated by your awesome power, but make sure you have enough left to find somewere to hide soon.

Congrats, now you can be under the sunlight for longer than a few seconds, and now none wants to talk to you! what a pity....

Stage 5 - Master of Shadows
Situation - A rising movie star! (without movies)
Vampire Apereance - Non vampire looking / Even uglier vampire.
Required Level = 12
Required Vampire Day Count = 28
Required Vampire Feed Count = 48

Skills Gained (added to the ones you got before)

- Revelation: Show your ugly face to people and they won't like you anymore, but your food doesn't need to like you, right?

- Embrace of Shadows: Classical invisibility, run arround naked, pick pocket people, kill 5 guards in the blink of an eye... yeah, all that cool stuff, but make sure you have a way to hide again.

Now you wont look like a vampire all the time! coolness, however there is a downside for this for as long as you stay in your non vampire form you can't feed or cast the advanced spells you will get in the future, a good balance between both is the key to success.

Stage 6 - Hell's Knight
Situation - Source of all Nightmares
Vampire Apereance - Non Vampire looking / Fugly Vampire.
Required Level = 15
Required Vampire Day Count = 40
Required Feed Count = 72

Skills Gained (added to the ones you got before)

- Wings of Darkness (Vampire State Only): Wings! no, you can't fly, but you can jump higher and rush on your opponents, cut them into pieces... And carry more weight too! Just make sure you don't become a barbeque steak as soon as you go out to show off your pretty wings to the mighty sun.

Light Shield lvl 6: Now you can easily avoid sun damage completely by activating your best spell, but doing so completely disables your magica for the time you activate it.

Stage 7 - Master Vampire
Situation - Doesn't need one
Vampire Appereance - Non Vampire looking / Nasty Vampire
Required Level = 17
Required Vampire Day Count = 54
Required Feed Count = 100

Skills Gained (added to the ones you got before)

- Turn the undead: Yes, a vampire's best ally is the one that won't get intimidated by its look, but those are hard to find, usually dead people don't care if you look ugly, they have no brains, and they won't die again until their heads fly away...

Note: This spell revives any human and increases its strengh and resistance by a bunch, but its intelligence and will power will be almost killed. Use it agains a living magician foe to destroy its magic abilities, or against an ally warrior to make it much stronger.

Final Stage - Alucard
Situation - Ultimate Vampire
Vampire Apereance - Ultimate normal looking / Ultimate uglyness
Required Level = 20
Required Vampire Day Count = 74
Required Feed Count = 140

Skills Gained (added to the ones you got before)

-Absolute Darkness: I know it would be better to have an uber awesome insta-killah secret move, but watching your opponent die lying on the floor for a whole minute is more fun.


-Dragon Slayer Ritual: Summon the most powerful blade ever seen in tamriel, even umbra will cry for its blacksmith when clashing against this blassing baby. I'd strongly recommend to use it only at night... (Needs to be in vampire form to activate)

Now all the abilities but Wings of Darkness and Dragon Slayer Ritual are accesible without being in your vampire form. This is the ultimate stage. You will still have to feed in a daily basis however, and the sun will be forever your worst enemy.

Unless...

You cure Vampirism!

The Debug Commands

Feel your progress is too slow? you want to get straight away to the last stage? or you want to uninstall the mod for whatever reason? well I've made a bunch of commands for customising/cheating the mod or even check if something is wrong, compatibility problems or getting out of tricky situations.

~to trigger the console press "~" in your keyboard, write the codes exactly how they are being shown, with spaces and caps.~

Set PCVampire to (0-4) | This console command defines if you are a vampire or not, setting it to 0 will stop the whole vampire cycle, it wont erase your abilities however. Setting it to 1 makes you a vampire without NPCs noticing and at 4 you wont be able to speak with most NPCs

Set UpdateVampire to 1 | This one will trigger the vampire update cycle, depending on what stage you are at it will add the proper skills and remove everything else.

Set VampStage to (1-10) | This represents the stage you are at, being 1 an hybrid vampire and 8 the final stage. Changing the variable will automatically convert you to that specific stage, you will have to manually trigger an update however. No, the other 2 are not uber vampires I made for myself, they have special functions:

-9 Cures you from vampirism after update.

-10 Gets you back to the Vanilla State, take in mind you have to uninstall the mod right away if you are doing this... (Works after update)

Note: Setting VampStage to a perviously passed stage will inmediatly level you up, unless you modify your Vampire Day/Feed Counters.

Set DayMulti to (1,2,3....) | This is a multiplier that at the time of the level up calculation will multiply your daycount by that number, making the Vampire day requeriments a lot lower, havent tried using decimals on it however.

Set FeedMulti to (1,2,3...) | This one does the same thing, however it changes the feeding requeriments instead.
