HOW TO GET THERE! :
The worldspace's name is MCIslands so to travel there you can use the console command "cow mcislands x,y" where x,y = the cell coordinates of where you want to go. For example: cow mcislands 0,24

Here it is, everyone. Here is a new land so far untouched by civilization for your use and pleasure.

The concept behind Mehrunes' Wake is to have a landscape to learn world building. I have a larger project planned in the (hopefully) near future and I need some work experience so I don't suck it up later on. At the same time I would like to provide the community with more real estate to create their own content whether it's a simple housing mod (lots of beaches and vistas to look upon, BTW) or something as large as an entire country to set the stage for your epic quest. I personally will be focusing on the largest island in the northwestern corner of the map and develope a Cyrodiilic colony there. More on the background below.

Background:

As of yet I have a basic setting that I will eventually expand upon later on. The Mehrunes' Wake Islands reside in between Tamriel and the far east continent of Akavir in the Padomeic Ocean. Due to the race known as the Tsaesci invading Tamriel at several times in the past, the Empire has decided to set up a monitoring outpost on these islands as an early warning system incase they invade once again. Over roughly a hundred years of it's existance it has grown into a moderately sized city as well as several towns and settlements all over the largest mass of the Mehrunes' Wake Islands.
Facing persecution amongst the peoples of Tamriel, a cult worshiping the memory of the dead god, Lorkhan, has also migrated to the shores of the outpost claiming the long dead volcano there is the resting place for Lorkhan's divine body. The Empire's official position on this new cult is one of tolerance as long as the Lorkhan worshipers "don't cause trouble." Several settlements around the volcano will house shrines devoted to Lorkhan and I am considering creating a monastery run by the cultists.
Stay tuned for more information on political and social structures as well as some more history surrounding the islands. As this is not my main focus of the mod, yet it would be horribly boring without the backstory, suggestions are welcome :whisper:

Basic Modding info:

The landscape includes:
-1 Huge island
-6 Large islands
-5 Smaller islands
-Many many more tiny islands scattered amongst the others
-2 Volcanoes (one large and dormant, the other smaller and active)
-Lots and lots of beach-front property
-Plenty of opportunity for more islands of almost any size to be created
-The entire area is roughly 6 square miles.

I post the landscape for open use as long as credit is sited in your mod. Though keep in mind that I will be doing heavy development on the large island in the northwest so unless you want to risk conflicts with my own world building (a very likely possibility on that island) contact me if you want to use any part of this island. Edoc'sil, creator of Septim's Pride and The Life of Sir Balin, has also informed me that he wants to create some dungeons in the active volcano so be mindful of that as well and coordinate with him if needed.

If a lot of people want in on this we could set up a claiming thread and coordinate a little more systematically, but until there is such interest I don't see much of a reason for it.

I would also like to put out an invitation for anyone that wants to work on NPCs and give life to the communities I'm creating. I would like to focus more on the level design for now and am not very good at writing characters. If there are any writers out there interested, let me know.

Load order note: Make sure MooCowVolcanicIslands.esm is loaded directly after the Oblivion.esm file. If anyone has more experience with these matters to improve this method, don't hold back smile.gif.
